Description: Creates an adjustable scope much more efficient than the regular zoom-in/out mechanism. To access the scope menu one must continue zooming in further than the regular mechanism. It can zoom as far as the maximum range of your main weapon can go. This modifier does not increase sensor range. Decreases the charge-up time of the gauss by 15% and of the positron by 15%. Increases critical chance by 5%. Non-Upgradable
It’s meh, not bad but so spezialized, as far you don’t use Positron you waste a/some CPU slot(s), maybe make it a little bit more useful in general.
The zoom effect sounds interesting, even if not everybody can handle it, but for projectile weapons it might be more a disadvantage than an advantage, it should maybe increase Crit Damage + Crit Chance to be considerable.
Zoom in this game is more a disadvantage than advantage (Unless you use lasers ?). Disintegrator zoom = You can’t see those covert-ops coming, and when it come to shoot, it don’t change that much.
Lasers were actually what I had in mind when I was thinking about this. I only added the buff to Gauss and Positron to make it useful with other weapons. So far it has it’s use with the kinetic-supercharger, gravi-laser, ion, gauss, laser-cannon, and positron. That is 6 out of the 15 main weapons. Not to mention that it could help with any other weapon should you so choose.

I will add a 5% crit chance bonus.
The bonus for gauss and positron is far too much.
I would equip it with gauss and positron but not using the zoom.
Compare with 6k dps ion with instant projectile speed and no spread. Then add that every ally that fires the same target benefits from the reduced resistances of the target. Please ion only needs only charge up once in it’s entire heat cycle to reach it’s max dps.
Gauss has to charge up everytime it releases a shot and might miss.
Gunship overdrive is almost negligible when it comes to gauss. Seriously… Try it. The only time I use gauss with gunship is when I plan on using the aiming overcharge a lot.
Hate to break it to you, Efefay, but ion emitter only ignores resists, it doesn’t reduce it for anybody else. Plus, the effect disappears the moment your aim gets off of the target.
Gauss is great on gunships to take down your target once it start evasive maneuver.
Also : 2500 DPS, is the dps of all the others fighters weapons. But gauss have (thanks to this update), over 8k projectile speed and a long range.
Btw, fighter have damage buff such as valkiry or target painter or overdrive. So why the dps of gauss would equal the dps of positron? My LRF have 2500 dps with positron… (t3)
Sorry, but no.
I prefer this game as a fast paced dogfight game, not WoT where you sit on your frigate (Or Plasma interceptor back in the days) and play duck shoot.
I don’t even get why this game HAS to be a fast paced game at ALL times Mapoko. Someone else would like this type of playstyle. Besides just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean someone else has to follow suit. It’s not like the old A1MA where it required no skill. Infact this would be a better aimassist because it DOES require skill and has drawbacks as mentioned before.
I just don’t understand why certain people would hate hard on it when it would be a nice addition to the game. It seems people only like new suggestions that are non-consequential.
