Couple of obvious suggestion for improving the experience

First of all I’d like to say this game looks and feels amazing. Most part of it’s success lie in the simplicity and fun of the actual battles… however there are few thing that should be improved.

First and the most important is the lack of info in the shop. You can see the detailed descriptions of weapons and other system equipped on your ship however there’s no way to know them without buying them first and that’s bad when you what to decide what system to buy next and don’t want to waste your hard earned credits. Also it would be handy to know specs and abilities of your enemy’s ships without having to buy them. So I recommend an addition of in-game encyclopedia in which stats for all the ships, weapons and other systems would be listed for everyone to see and browse freely.

Second thing that caught my eye is that weapons for different ships have the same prices and are mutually interchangeable… since there are 2 guns on the interceptor, 4 on fighters and 6 (or maybe 8?) on frigates that’s kind of silly. I guess that ships with more guns deal more damage, right? So it would be more appropriate either to have different guns for different ships (like you did with shield boosters - there’s one for each ship class) or even better that larger ships have more weapon slots/modules so that in example if you fit your lasers from interceptor to fighter it only fills the one main weapon slot so you have 2 guns not 4. So to fully equip a fighter you’d have to buy 2 sets of laser and to fully equip a frigate 6 of them. This solution should also allow combining different weapon classes on larger ships if they are similar enough (have the same fire rate and damage type) since combining different weapons could disrupt the game balance as well as the flow of the game. I.e. you could equip both mark I and mark III assault lasers on your fighter but you couldn’t combine assault laser with pulse lasers or other weapons like plasma cannons or railguns.

Third thing is a global thing - the actual battles should be empire vs empire not random groups vs random group like it is now. That would improve game experience as well as faction loyalty.

Hello and thanks for your kind words.

You can view the details of weapons and modules by scrolling over their icon with your mouse cursor. The same overview is also planned for ships.

There is a wiki in work for the game and I will ask how far they are with the translation of it.

There was a discussion about making it possible to use 2 different weapons on the ship in the past and it was that it won’t be added because it would bring a lot of work for balance and hit calculation.

The game is designed to make the pilot feel like a mercenary so there is no real “loyality”. Perhaps we will see faction battles in the future, but this is still far away

Thanks for answering. Actually scrolling to show the details for weapons only works when they are equipped on your ships not when they are in the shop for me and that’s the whole point to know what you’re buying. Maybe it’s a bug. I can understand point 2 and 3 however I personally would like to see more faction loyalty.

You need to scroll on the weapon/module icon to be able to view the tooltip.

2)The devs don’t like the idea of putting different weapons on one ship( for example to mix lasers with railguns).

3)The game is not designed to bind a player to a faction. Perhaps this will increase in the future, but not now.

You need to scroll on the weapon/module icon to be able to view the tooltip.

Thanks, my mistake… I’ve been trying to hover over the text that’s why it didn’t work.
