I am too impatient to wait for future updates to the corporation and customisation system and this is a way to generate a decent income stream now. These will sell.
Add a ‘Corporations’ category in the Stickers menu.
Add the logos of the active/stable corporations.
Profit++; as both corporation members and ‘fans’ of said corporations start using these. I have no problem with non-WPK people flying our colours, groupies are great. It’s not like the (lack of a) corp tag doesn;t show actual membership anyway.
_ Potential future addition _: Allow corporations to make a one-time purchase which unlocks the free use of one of these stickers for any current members. I have no problem with this being expensive, say 7,500 GS.
The first two parts here work with the current system and code implemented and would take very little development time to achieve.
We need this. The current stickers in the game are meh and have driven me to the desire for something I can actually identify with.
Future Vision
In the future I’d like to see a more comprehensive system.
Allow CEO’s to set the logo for their corporation through submission. Manual implementation by devs required to ensure the logos look nice in the game and don’t interfere with their artistic vision.
Charge the corporation a decent amount of GS to add their logo.
Add the logo to all corporation ships automatically at no further charge , in different ‘zones’ from existing stickers. E.g. make them coincide. After all - in real life we also have country identification as well as separate customization on aircraft. This also allows ‘free’ players to identify with their corporation and feel part of it, rather than only ones with the real life wealth to purchase the logo.
I’d also like to see the option to bookmark a corporation colour scheme / ship skin which all members can subsequently select from the customisation menu, but that’s besides the point.
I’ve made so many posts on corporation functionality, management, alliances, stickers, logos, sector conquest and assets/resources/buildings that I hope we see something in the near future.
Unfortunately, some ‘wise’ decision maker reckoned that we were all anticipating Tier-5 a lot more. He was wrong.
I’m behind this, especially if its an unlock able/purchasable by say the CEO. Or perhaps members can pitch in standards to unlock the ability for everyone to have the corp logo [on a different ship region like mentioned]. Stickied optional corp color schemes would be great too, possibly another unlockable?
Probably would require a submission process either way to ensure people don’t abuse the system with profane images, but it would still be awesome.
Allowing users to design and sell stickers in a user market would be pretty cool period.
You’d think with all these customization threads with players who have made purchases already, saying “We WANT to throw money at you, just give us what we WANT!”, the developers would be scrambling to get the content out… I feel bad for you veteran pilots/CEOs who have been waiting and wanting for this stuff with no sight of a “yes” or “no” answer. Heck, just the thought of corporation stickers makes me want to play more matches and strive to improve my DSR so I can make myself marketable to corporations. Not to say I’m not striving to get better already; I haven’t played much but in the past 3 days I took the time to read through the forums to learn as much as I could, and I increased my DSR from about 900-1169 with a W/L ratio of .91 (it was much worse before).

It is rather fascinating of a situation, though not a good one. I think its one of those “papa knows best” situations only instead its “Developer/Producer knows best”. Who knows, maybe internally, this is a big debate? [though im not sure why?]

Also - logos are not visible at all in some ships. For example Wolf-M. The marks are barely visible in hangar, not to mention when killed by one and showing your killer. I barely see Ricasso’s stickers and those are the most visible stickers on ships that I have so far.

I agree it would be very nice if these stickers were a little more visible. One of my suggestions was to give corp stickers/logos a different slot to ‘normal’ customisation, so that players are still able to put an individual touch to their ships.
Hell, it’s even more chance for them to make some money from us - so I don’t see why they’re not jumping on this with more enthusiasm.
