Corp tags and buffs in invasion

  1. I think we should be able to see our fellow corp mates names highlighted while undocked , like you would if you were squaded/grouped, regardless of if you’re grouped or not.

For reference to what I’m suggesting look at Warz/Infestation (but dont do anything else they have done, good lord lol). In warz If you are in a clan/corp you always see a purple icon over your corp mates’ heads while in game, regardless if you are grouped or not. If you do group up you then see a yellow icon as well as the purple icon. For programming purposes think of it like this: Its like there is a group that being in the corp makes you a member of automatically.

  1. I think buffs/heals should work in invasion for corp members, even if they are not grouped up. We had a huge issue a few weeks ago where we had a full group and we responded to a distress call from our corp mate, he was sitting right beside us nearly dead and we couldn’t do jack-xxxx to heal him, and instead of playing the game we were trying to use the text commands (which dont work!) to make room in the group and so on. All the meanwhile we weren’t playing the game we were trying to work around arbitrary limitations, and not having fun.

  1. We need a squad/wing Graphical User Interface while flying/un-docked in invasion. This would negate the need for  #2 (seriously please do this!).

4)  while I’m making suggestions related to squads/wings might as well go for broke:   drop the limit on people you can have in a squad and abolish wings, if I have 15, 20 or 50 people who want to squad up, I should be able to make a squad of 15, 20 or 50 people and get playing, not spending time trying to work around arbitrary limitations. Making squad numbers limitless would also negate the need for suggestion #1, and if there are specific game modes like pve that require a limit on squad members that shouldn’t be difficult to implement, just have a popup saying “Your squad is too big for this game mode”.

  1. Yes, but he should still be able to kill them.

  2. Good idea, but there should be a setting to deactivate it.

  3. I don’t understand.

  4. Extra kind of squad for invasion, why not. But not required, Wings are ok.

1)  thats how it works in the example I gave (warz)  only grouping up stops friendly fire. So yeah I agree here.

  1. Why would you want to turn off heals/buffs to your corp mates?

  1. You know the squad list you see in hangar, that has a button to make a squad into a wing and easily see who is in the squad/wing and remove them if necessary all by clicking with the mouse. That is a GUI (graphical user interface), and it needs to be part of the HUD in invasion, so squads/wings can be administrated properly - as an example, if someone disconnects while undocked, they are in the squad/wing still, and leader has to return to hangar just to remove them. Or another example, you have a squad of 4 undocked and doing stuff and a friend or corp mate wants to join you, so you have to make the squad a wing so theres more space, leader has to return to hangar to make it a wing. I shouldn’t have to return to hangar to handle squad/wing stuff. I can’t even see it being a lot of work, copy the code for the squad list that’s already in the hangar, and paste it into the code for the in-game HUD for invasion.
  1. For trolling actions… corpmate don’t automatically means friend, so if he want to kill you, and you help him with your heals. You should be able to have 3 modes of auras in invasion: Public (To everyone), Shared (Corp/Wingmates only), Private (Squad / Yourself).

  2. Well, that would be good feature. Agree here.

  1. Totally fine with it, although probably low priority thing to do.

  1. Because healing people while killing them is silly

  1. Oh, definitely. Been suggested before, needs to be suggested again. Either that, or a chat command revamp. I mean, if you restrict usernames such that you can’t have two players with the same name already, just get on with making it /squad invite playername instead of /squad invite uid.

Edit: Darn it, Omega! You ninja you.

Well in the end I guess what would solve everything, including allowing trolling actions against corp mates (lmao  i knew thats where you were going with it) would be to abolish squad member limits.

If I can have any number of people in my squad in invasion, then theres no need for heals/buffs to work on corp-mates since the squad takes care of it.

I’d still like to see #1 though, so that if I enter a zone and my corp mate is in the same zone I can say “Oh hey wanna squad up?” or “Want some help with anything?” Also it helps build a community between corp members.

  1. You can see what fellow members of your Corp are under in the Corporation tab.

  2. There are Corp heals, but not as in Corps but as in groups you are a\in at the moment. Because, sometimes you could be in a group but not all the members from your group are from your Corp.

  3. We didnt get that! Please elaborate.

  4. There are some technical requirements which make your request unavailible to accomplish.
