contribution rating

Right now the Pilot stats don’t show a good skill rating of a pilot. The
Skill Rating shown right now is actually a Death/Kill rating. Since it
is not possible to measure a pilot’s skill in one number but it could
help adding one aspect of match result to the pilot stats.

The additional number I have in mind is related to the score/efficiency board at the end of each match.
The new number should create a value out of the pilots position on the
final score board and the efficiency related to others above below of the pilot.
This new value should not overlap with already measured Win/Loss ratio or SR.

The new number can maybe go from 0 to 100. 100 means you carried the
whole team and the rest of your team didn’t contribute anything. 0 means
you totally sucked and didn’t get any efficiency or left the game before it
finished.
This new number (I’d call it contribution rating or short CR) requires
having a fair/balanced system the rates efficiency, with the
recent patch 0.9.15 that seems a bit out of alignment.

Example 1
         efficiency   CR
Pilot1 3000          41
Pilot2 2000          27
Pilot3 1800          25
Pilot4 500             7

Example 2
         efficiency  CR
Pilot1 2000         67
Pilot2 500           17
Pilot3 400           13
Pilot4 100            3

Example 3
         efficiency   CR
Pilot1 2000          23
Pilot2 1800          20
Pilot3 1700          19
Pilot4 1500          17
Pilot5 800             9
Pilot6 500             6
Pilot7 400             5
Pilot8 100             1

Example 4
         efficiency   CR
Pilot1 500           24
Pilot2 480           23
Pilot3 460           22
Pilot4 300           14
Pilot1 200           10
Pilot2 100            5
Pilot3 50              2
Pilot4 0                0

The calculation is simple the CR is the percentage (you got with your
efficiency) from the total efficiency of your team.

Pilot1 eff + Pilot 2 eff + Pilot 3 eff + Pilot 4eff = combined efficiency
Pilot1 CR = Pilot1 eff *100 / combined efficiency (rounded to full digit ,up at .5 and higher)

If you won or lost a match or how your team was compared to the other
doesn’t matter as these results are already in Win/ Loss ratio and Skill
rating (I hope they change the name of SR soon).
This CR could be useful for match maker!

The CR in the pilot profile would be a CR average of the amount of PvP battles.

So if match 1 is 20,  match 2 is 50 and match 3 is 30 then the CR in the profile is 33.

The calculation reflects a little bit of the match maker’s (aka MM)
decision of setting up matches but mostly the players contribution under
the matches condition.

Good team play gets a little bit “punished” but on the other hand if
someone is carrying the whole team gets rewarded for his/her skills.

This calculation is maybe not ideal, if one of the math magicians has
another calculation suggestion, please post it here.

Funny how i just though the same.

you just made it one sided. and those who loose? how will that be calculated.

also nja not sure about making it only efficiency points. right now its ships with high speed that gets off with rating… aswell as score by capturing beacons or planting bombs such as picking the bomb upp and down.

Attacking enemy and actually try killing them off is what matters in a game, thats what you should get rewarded for.

+1. Efficiency is usually a much clearer indication of how much a player contributes to the mission objectives.

Also agree about how it doesn’t matter if your team wins or loses. If you were in the losing team but you did exceptionally well, you should be rewarded for putting up a good fight.

Both sides/teams are calculated the same.

So would there be an average?  I’m assuming so, otherwise it could sway greatly from battle to battle.

Yes, forgot to mention that. The CR in the pilot profile would be a CR average of the PvP battles.
