Contract System - the ability to switch to alternate rewards

I want to suggest an additional option.

Contract system rewards is fine as it is.

It just needs one more thing. An improvement.

The ability to modify and select your own the rewards.

Let’s look at our example here:

2z8s17t.png

For our assigned tasks or namely contracts, we always get paid by loyalty vouchers.

Loyalty vouchers are used as the currency for Mark 3 upgrades.

There are potential downsides to this system.

Once you got all of equipment leveled up to a Mark 3, loyalty vouchers become obsolete completely.

Second thing is the limit or cap on loyalty vouchers. Maximum amount of loyalty vouchers cannot exceed one million.

I am not against the cap limit. What bothers me is, that I cannot store such exceeded currency in the Armory or send it to someone, who might need it.

You cannot use loyalty vouchers for anything else, than a Mark 3 upgrade.

Some contracts also provide Iridium, but that Iridium gets allocated to a corporation only.

Iridium is always useful. Even if you don’t need it anymore, you can still provide it to a corporation you serve.

The following example below should tell you what I want to suggest:

10fubzn.png

Faction change notification window should now feature a new option, called Switch Rewards. After you click on it, you get an additional window, where you have two available options.

The current one, which is active is disabled. The one, which is available can be selected, free of charge. Once you switch your rewards, you also cancel your current contract progress.

Instead of loyalty vouchers for all contracts of a selected faction, now each contract will offer you an alternative - only Iridium rewards.

This system is rather simplistic. Notification system will report any given rewards, if selected.

Iridium based rewards:

Tier I:

Rank 1 contract gives     1 Iridium reward.

Rank 2 contract gives      2 Iridium reward. (now known also as rank 1)

Rank 3 contract gives     3 Iridium reward. (now known also as rank 1)

A total of all tier one rewards is 6 Iridium.

Premium License 50% bonus (3 Iridium) equals a total of 9 Iridium.

Tier II:

Rank 4 contract gives     5 Iridium reward.

Rank 5 contract gives     7 Iridium reward.

Rank 6 contract gives   10 Iridium reward.

A total of all tier two rewards is 22 Iridium.

Premium License 50% bonus (11 Iridium) equals a total of 33 Iridium.

Tier III:

Rank 7 contract gives    15 Iridium reward.

Rank 8 contract gives   17 Iridium reward.

Rank 9 contract gives   20 Iridium reward.

A total of all tier three rewards is 52 Iridium.

Premium License 50% bonus (26 Iridium) equals a total of 78 Iridium.

Tier IV:

Rank 10 contract gives 25 Iridium reward.

Rank 11 contract gives 30 Iridium reward.

Rank 12 contract gives 35 Iridium reward.

A total of all tier four rewards is 90 Iridium.

Premium License 50% bonus (45 Iridium) equals a total of 135 Iridium.

Tier V:

Rank 13 contract gives 40 Iridium reward.

Rank 14 contract gives 45 Iridium reward.

Rank 15 contract gives 55 Iridium reward.

A total of all tier five rewards is 100 Iridium.

Premium License 50% bonus (50 Iridium) equals a total of 150 Iridium.

Iridium rewards are transferred to your personal account only.

Corporate contracts remain untouched and work the same.

Contract rewards will follow regular restriction rules in general.

Cooldowns will be the same. Same goes for rank restrictions.

Already done contracts won’t be resetted, if you switched rewards.

Optional 1:

Karma based rewards

Karma system could also be implemented as optional, but only for positive Karma players.

Given rewards gives you Karma bonuses, depending on your contracts.

Your Karma reward bonus is determined by your completed contracts.

Tier I:

Rank 1 contract gives     50 Karma reward.

Rank 2 contract gives      70 Karma reward. (now known also as rank 1)

Rank 3 contract gives   100 Karma reward. (now known also as rank 1)

A total of all tier one rewards is 220 Karma.

Premium License 50% bonus (110 Karma) equals a total of 330 Karma.

Tier II:

Rank 4 contract gives     130 Karma reward.

Rank 5 contract gives     150 Karma reward.

Rank 6 contract gives     200 Karma reward.

A total of all tier two rewards is 480 Karma.

Premium License 50% bonus (240 Karma) equals a total of 720 Karma.

Tier III:

Rank 7 contract gives    250 Karma reward.

Rank 8 contract gives   300 Karma reward.

Rank 9 contract gives   350 Karma reward.

A total of all tier three rewards is 900 Karma.

Premium License 50% bonus (450 Karma) equals a total of 1350 Karma.

Tier IV:

Rank 10 contract gives 400 Karma reward.

Rank 11 contract gives 500 Karma reward.

Rank 12 contract gives 600 Karma reward.

A total of all tier four rewards is 1500 Karma.

Premium License 50% bonus (750 Karma) equals a total of 2250 Karma.

Tier V:

Rank 13 contract gives   750 Karma reward.

Rank 14 contract gives 1000 Karma reward.

Rank 15 contract gives 1500 Karma reward.

A total of all tier five rewards is 3250 Karma.

Premium License 50% bonus (1625 Karma) equals a total of 4875 Karma.

Optional 2:

Loot based rewards

Each contract may provide a specific resource from the list below.

If it is based on certain Karma level, then the rewards multiply by from 1-5 times, depending on player’s Karma)

Contracts lower than tier III, meaning tier I and tier II (rank 1-6) will get always just get you the credit reward.

Computing Chip     (only obtainable from tier III) (only rank 7-9 contract for all sides) or rank    11 only for all sides

Graphite Plate        (only obtainable from tier III) (only rank 7-9 contract for all sides) or rank    12 only for all sides

Metal Blank            (only obtainable from tier III) (only rank 7-9 contract for all sides) or rank      9 only  for all sides

Screened Battery (only obtainable from tier IV) (only rank 10-12 contract for all sides) or rank 13 only for all sides

Processing Block (only obtainable from tier IV) (only rank 10-12 contract for all sides) or rank 14 only for all sides

Pure Silicon          (only obtainable from tier III) (only rank 7-9 contract for all sides) or rank   7 and 8   for all sides

Osmium Crystal    (only obtainable from tier III) (only rank 7-9 contract for all sides) or rank     10 only for all sides

Monocrystal          (only obtainable from tier V) (only rank 13-15 contract for all sides) or rank 15 only for all sides

Contract rewards and item numbers for such rewards are already predetermined in advance.

The number of given items should be determined by the difficulty of a contract and by a rank.

Another good option would be, that it is also determined and then multiplied by your Karma +/- reputation level.

One other option is also that only a specific rank can give certain item and not the whole tier in general.

Also, rank 1 up to rank 6 only give you credit rewards. However, this can also be changed.

Reward numbers were given as a placeholder.

Optional restriction:

This option is meant to be for high end players.

I am suggesting that you can only access this option, if you own all of your standard ships , which are also fully synergized.

So far I have covered it all.

System, which will enable you to choose between standard setup - Loyalty vouchers , alternative setup - Iridium , alternative Karma setup - Karma and Loot setup -  manufactured items.

I want an official reply on this suggestion. I gave you the idea, possible numbers and options. It is up to you to do the rest.

If there are any questions to ask or much inconsistencies, you only need to ask.

Do not forget to comment , vote and tell your friends about this all over the planet.

Regards,

Koromac

I like the suggestion for iridium, since it increases flexibility. Unfortunately I see one problem: corps with many members will get a huge bonus to their iridium income, when could unbalance the economy and make dreadnoughts a lot easier to upgrade for these corps.

I disagree with the karma suggestion, because karma should only be important in Invasion. It would be too easy to farm in PVP.

I disagree with implementing loot into this system, since we already have a very easy way to get the parts, via the ships we send off on missions. I don’t think we need another way.  And if you really want to farm those, you can go to invasion for an hour.

I like it, though karma rewards are way too high, and loot rewards are kinda redundant.

Have you ever notice that WPK is getting 50k iridium per day coz of their sector(and on attack costs 25k or so).

Yes, I have, and I think this is balanced. With what Koromac is suggesting, they could get 100k per day doing PVP

Well, like I told you.

Numbers presented are more like a placeholder.

Initially for me the real point is in the Iridium.

Why did I suggest all of this?

Because I want to get something instead of nothing.

Loyalty vouchers do not get stored for later use.

Corporation would not get the Iridium, unless if you would wish to supply your own to them.

Of course, switching to credits instead of loyalty vouchers would be another option.

This option could be locked behind some restriction, to prevent players to get this too early.

So, if you own and syn max all of your 135 standard ships, this should be unlocked.

Bottom point is, that this thing would not be needed, if I could have used loyalty vouchers in Customization options, just to change my ship’s appearance.

I already suggested that as well.

Main thing is that I presented an idea, which can easily be improved, but the point is here.

It would be nice, if you could indeed switch at least to Iridium, because there is no cap on Iridium on one’s personal account.

They don’t have that much active player. And the contracts iridium is going directly into the corp bank so they can’t save it forever and have to spend it for useless crap

Good day!

It is one decent suggestion. We will use it as an inspiration for developing the contract system the changes in which will be presented in the nearest future.

 nearest future.

Ayye!!
