I thought we needed all this shizz in our story while keeping it short.

- Over centuries of self-development Crystallids evolved into a society of ‘functions’ with a shared mind.
- Their technology is based on using the Signal’s energy.
- Crystallid energy generator (a green spinning element) — the hub in Alien structures — converts the Signal and provides communication between Crystallids.
Guess not. i Also should have waited before posting. Every winners talked about crystallids taking over humans. If wasn’t from those dumb guidelines i could have won.

Hmm. I completely forgot those existed CptDoss. I think that what those were for were, as long as things in the story didn’t contradict those statements, they were fine. I will proceed to comfort myself by convincing myself that I didn’t win simply because I was off topic.
By the way, congratulations to all the winners, JasanQuinn, you write really well, I really enjoyed reading your story. And despite the salt clouding my judgement right now, I can still see you all had more creative ideas than the sappy love story I wrote.
