complete control of Secret Project ship - customizable synergy ranks

This suggestion is fairly simple and short.

Provide us with the options, which enable us to select and fully control the bonuses we get with synergy ranks for each Secret Project ship.

However, you should include some kind of restriction system, when one option can automatically disable/exclude the other one, just to prevent Over-Powered effect like state.

Synergy bonuses will be displayed below at a later time. There is so many of them.

Rank 2,4 and 8, sometimes same combined ranks with different bonuses should be customizable as well. We need more options.

I am leaving this debate up to the community. I think that we should get a full list of all listed bonuses in general and then we should be able to pick each one.

In order to prevent too powerful builds, we would have to have some kind of restriction system/exclusion system, but I do not think that it is really necessary.

Damn, they won’t do it, since they never do.

lvl 2 synergy bonus is class related. So it won’t be changed anyway.

 

A way to balance it could be to choose one of the multiple boni we already know on lvl 4 and a weapon type related bonus on lvl 8 (even if it’s not that much customisable).

Gather all T5 synergy rank bonuses,all of them for each class, so that we have a full list of them.

  • Tackler : -20% afterburner energy cost

 

  • LRF : +5% critical rate
  • Guard : +20% energy total volume
  • Engineer : +10% ship speed

 

Weapon boni :

  • Weapon damage : +10%
  • Critical rate : +10%
  • Critical damage : +20%
  • Weapon cooling speed : +50%
  • Firing time before overheating : +20%
  • Missile reload time : -20%
  • EM bonus : -33,3% spread / +35% projectile speed
  • Kinetic bonus : -33,3% spread / +35% projectile speed
  • Thermal bonus : none I could find (could be a suggestion on its own, with range / overheating modifier)

 

Mobility boni :

  • Speed : +10%
  • Rotation speed : +25%
  • Strafe speed : +30%
  • Afterburner energy cost : -23,1%

 

Shield resistance boni :

  • All : +10
  • Thermal : +30
  • Kinetic : +33
  • EM : +27
  • Volume : none I could find

 

Hull resistance boni :

  • Thermal : +30
  • Kinetic : +27
  • EM : none I could find, but it should be +33
  • Volume : none I could find

 

Efficiency boni :

  • Sensor range : +100%
  • Energy regen : +20%

Role modules boni :

  • Energy cost : -20% for all class but recon
  • Effect : +20% for cover ops / command / engineer / ecm (only affect duration for ecm), +25% for tackler, +30% for recon
  • Reload time : -20% for cover ops / gunship / all frigate
  • Range : +25% for guard, +50% for recon / ecm / command / tackler (would suit well engineer too, but none have them)
  • Durability : +100% engineer only

I think it’s a pretty legit reason although I would like to see something like this in the game.

I hope that you will give us full customization, because that would certainly mean so.

Customizable ships are meant to be fully customizable. We can also balance the issues, which may arise later.

Mauler has 35% hull and shield volume increased. Nice list btw, you took your time there for sure.

This idea sounds nice, i think ill give it a go…but i have many doubts if it should be implemented or not.

I love the sound of customisable synergy bonuses. 

To be honest, the main thing I hate about some of the current secret project ships is the weapon type-specific passives - the whole point of the secret project ships was to build what you want, right? so why do they restrict us to certain weapon types? Really spoils the idea for me.

Not sure if fully customisable would be too powerful, but certainly a degree of choice would be great, and honestly just no weapon type specific bonuses would do!
