The contests where players actually influence the game are awesome, I do hope there are more of them!
How about a ship design contest [aesthetics only?]? I know in the past there was a sticker/decal design contest. I hope there will be more in the future?
Maybe a weapon design contest? Or a ‘Paint Job’ design contest? [if you could skin/paint your ship with anything how would it look?]
PvE/Scenario Design Contest? What about a Lore contest where you have to design the next bad guy or something. Ooor A writing/Literature contest?

I personally would not mind a Ship Design Contest.
Like “design rank 16 ships for all three factions, in all ship classifications.”
Would be used as probably end game ships for completion of all the subfactions to 15.
Then we have the problem of ESB and Rank 16 endgames in T4 matches…

The idea of a ship design is purely asthetic. It wouldnt have to be another tier of ships, it could be a special ship that is in a lower tier. OR, is something that acts as a ‘skin’ that can fit into a ship cosmetic slot and thus on any ship. The fact that the tiers are currently broken overall is another problem entirely and doesn’t fit the scope of this thread, but I can understand your frustration.

With all that said and if the tiers were more accessible and those bugs worked out, that would be immensely AWESOME to have a contest that designs a tier. There could be one winner per faction so three players could leave their mark on the game and kinda focus on getting into the spirit of that particular faction. I know EVE did a big ship design contest through deviant art and people really created some amazing ships. It’d be great to see what this community could do. *fingers itch in anticipation*
