how about dividing one team into 3 “X/Y/Z” groups?
it could help for better organization. i mean, if, f.e., the “Z” was frigs only, you can command: “Z target beacon A” and - if players will listen 
- you know that all the damage is aimed to A beacon. it could be managed to some hotkey (i suppose 4,5,6 on numpad), so if you will pres 4, 3 it will say “X group eyes on target …”
i wonder if you can change your group by yourself or it will be selected based on your ship - cept, fighter, frig (x,y,z)
and make the groups a little color divided
