Special circumstances/occurrences: interaction/hit with regular and charged EM projectile creates an instantaneous splash effect in 150 meter radius - 10000 EM damage

 

Basic weapon functions:

Clicking left-mouse button - faster speed, low EM damage

Holding left-mouse button - slower speed, high EM damage

 

Shooting the weapon creates a dark-blue spherical projectile, that travels in straight line.

Upon impact, it absorbs 25 or 50 energy points, if charged. Charged projectile can bypass the shields and deal direct EM damage to hull.

Interaction with charged and regular projectile from the same source, can create a plasma explosion, which will always deal 10000 EM damage to all targets inside 150 meter radius.

What’s up with that "50% crit damage bonus " , but crit do double damage? 

Are you telling me that a crit will do raw x2x(1+bonus/100) damage ? 

A single crit from mode 2 would deal 22k5 damage, with a 66 RoF while ignoring shield ? Really ?

 

 

BTW, the command gun is really badly designed. It doesn’t fit the game’s mechanic (only one button to shoot).

Yes, the values are too high. Tweaking will be required or other possible solutions. I agree about the Phaser gun as well. Might need to suggest a better alternative or some changes.

I suggested a good alternative for command gun : Double click to switch mode, and changing mode instantly shoot a fast charge at the last charged projectile. but I don’t think they saw it.

 

BTW there’s a big problem with your gun : the slow speed is too fast. Which means that the fast projectile won’t be able to hit the slow one within the range limit (actually they can hit, but only at 4.5k range approximately).  

 

We will keep it for good, when the time for destroyers or it’s upgrade will come again.
