The matchmaking distribution chart is still available. There is a line of text you have to insert into a file (currently looking to find where they go, will edit them in once I find them).
So you will input this line of text “<cl_showMmQueueInfo val=“2” />” (without quotation marks), into the user_config.xml in your Star Conflict folder.
This will bring up the matchmaker queue distribution chart when you are in queue for a battle.
I agree with the server population counter. Why is it removed? It should stay there. It helps me know if it’s peak time so I could do some adventuring without worrying about being killed, or if there’s a lot of people where I can queue for a battle instead of randomly queuing hoping for it to get me in a battle.
As stated in the past, the server counter was removed due technical aspects. We might add it back in the future, but I cannot give you any eta.
The tier distribution system was a debug feature and it was never designed for public use.
It would also be nice to get more players anyway as most of the matchmaker complaints and seal clubbing etc are due to it trying to pick and choose from a smaller number of players…
I like this thread a lot, and I back you up 100% Koromac. It was a great way to know whether or not to even waste your time trying to queue for a match. I’d like to know if T5 is at all active, instead of having to wait 15 minutes to find out myself. It was a great tool that everyone loved, and should be re implemented even if it must be redesigned.
Ok guys. First of all “By refusing to do so, you will confirm at least my suspicions, that the reason for this may have been caused by a sudden population drop.” Let’s stay in limits of community cooperation and I always thought that such an experienced player as you won’t go to the level of ultimatums…
Regarding your suggestion. I understand it, it has sense. Our team has discussed your request, but due to several reasons the management has decided that we can’t implement it at the moment. And it is not connected to the amount of players (as you assumed). The main reason is that we are in a process of reworking MM (not long time ago we were testing one of the features and have the way more in plans), and adding such a display will create a buch of new unnecessary complications and even confusion for players after each adjustment.

Thanks for the answer, as always.
But is there any reason the total number of players online on the server cannot be displayed? I understand it will be difficult if not impossible to show who is in queue, who is in hangar, playing etc… but the whole number as it was in the open beta? Is that possible?
It will close a lot of mouths, to be honest, and will show the whiners that the game is not dying, but alive and well.
As for the total number of players online…Here is a tricky situation.
I have to ask you to look at it more from developers’ side then from players’ side. When it was on, discussions on the forums were mostly about just the numbers of players online than about about the game itself.
This feature was canceled long before my joining the team so I had to consult with other community managers and game designers. And all of them told me the exact same story.
But I can assure you that this question is still open and we might return it in the future.

Suspicion is not the same as the accusation.
Suspicion is not the confirmation of guilt.
In this case, it does not prove or confirms anything at the end.
I merely presented my opinion as it is.
I am not the only one, who thinks similar or the same.
However, I am the only one, who wrote about this, because I wanted to know the truth.
No ultimatum was ever presented. All I wanted, is a honest reply and most importantly, the truth behind it.

I hope that it will be considered in a nearby future.
Reasons behind it are irrelevant now.
I understand that it is a loss - loss situation. If you display the numbers, people will say they are not enough, because they want LoL type numbers.
If you don’t people will say you do it because there aren’t any players.
Well, that is why I presented my voting poll. Second question was aimed at this issue.
You got an option, to use a default system or by choice.
Bottom point is, that me and the others still wish to have it, no matter the reasons behind it.
From my perspective it isn’t a problem, if I see 1000 or 10000 people online.
