i find it extermly anoying that i cant make hard turns when needed with the larger ships i play and whats up with the guns takes for ever to turn them. feels abit sloppy to me
some weapons are slow barrel versions: they usually deal more damage but will react slower as a measure of balancing
ship turning speed is dictated by your ship’s lvl and tech tier…there are also some skills in the upper skill tree which will improve your manoeuvrablitiy
total frigate steering has been lowered since the 0.7.0 patch
its the mass of the ships, they all need to be lowered.
They need to be 75>125>175.
Right now they are 50>350>4500
If they make all the crafts lighter, and the ceptors slightly less mobile, the game will be excellent, and the frigates will join in dog fights.

Rolling and steering should be increased.
Frigates should NOT join into dog fights. There large vessels for frontal assult and support. You need to rely on your skills and teammates to back you up in dog fights. And remember this is space, not an air plane so all of newtons laws of motion apply.

what cant you read? wheir did i wrote dog fights!? frigates guns are slow and sloppy and the steering is extermly bad how the hell i am suppose to defend my self when i am being attack from behind !??

frigates and Interceptors need work together in order to create a good team.
The weapons of frigates don’t need to be slow, this depends on the weapon you equip.
since were already on the subject of crazy ideas that may or not make it into the game, can i suggest ejector seats? like we have the option to abandon ship at the last second. after ejecting, the player will be put in first person of his pilot sitting in a chair floating down to the planet below. his only weapon is a colt 45 which he can shoot once. if he shoots and hits the cockpit of any ship, the target ship immediately blows up. the downside is that the ejected player only has 30 seconds to take his shot before he enters the atmosphere of the planet below him and distintegrates. :yes_yes:
Every ship class has its advantage and disadvantage. A frigate has a lot of advantages and it would be unbalanced if one could fly the ship like an interceptor or fighter. From my point of view the faster and agile ships should also protect their frigates. If a frigate gets killed because the attacker is too maneuverable, then this is the way it is.
what needs to be understood, is the current gap between ceptor and attackship is so great, that the ceptor can literally run circles around anything else (Ie frig/atkship). as a result nerfing the mass of ships does not make them any less immune to this, it just makes them more mobile and active, giving people the ability to dog fight with a heavy tank or damage close-range frigate.
as i said, 75>150>300mt will effectively cause the ceptor to be twice as fast and mobile to the atk ship, and the atk ship twice as fast and mobile to the frigate. that means in a dog fight, the frigate will be slow, less mobile however will be able for a short time to keep up.
i think we need the turret-cam back for frigates , just for frigates, add build-in module for that or what…
of course they cant shoot full gun for shooting their rear, but at least could increase chance for survive… Basic or Expert cam not enuf for chasing no-brake interceptors as fat frigates.
a corp member and i were talking about this, such an addition is unmerited. a simple fix it just to make the frigate less massive. the reason is because the tank on a frigate is not sufficient to merit swaping from one side to the next, you will die the moment you switch from control of the ship to control of the weapon port.
so its much better that the ship becomes capable of dog fighting.
In my opinion, if frigates join the close dog fight, the versatility and variedness of the game gets lost. Its better to have different ships with differnt characteristics and therefore different tasks in game.
A turret-cam back for frigates, which would be good to handle also, would make the frigate overpowered. As i said, the frigate has a lot of advantages and this is why it should have some disadvantages. If you can shoot in a frigate rearwards against interceptors, the intercepor is without a chance. Everbody will play frigates and the game becomes an artillery duel.
I prefer a game, in which differnt kinds of ships perform differnt tasks, so they work together as a team. Of course the requirements on the pilots are bigger, but the gameplay is more fun and the best team will win.
