Basic training on different game types

I would warmly suggest to extend the initia tutorial to show people how the different game types work.

You would rightfully ask ‘Why?’ and this is the simple answer to it :

Because , for instance , when playing the type ‘defend the ship that allows you to respawn’ more than once I saw the captain of my team , or the enemy team, launch himself in the thick of the battle , die and be forced to a quick loss (when losing the flagship of my team) or victory(when it happens on the other side… not so bad seen like this , isn’t it? xD).

Some people don’t realise they’re assigned as the Captain.

In other cases, the Captain disconnects and someone else is assigned as Captain. The latter can be problematic when that person is just at that moment bang-right in the middle of a fiery ball of hell. It has happened to us before and really sucks.

As far as I am concerned they could play an irritatingly loud air-raid siren and display a huge warning in the form of a lolcat in-game to make clear you’re the captain. That way nobody can ever say “oops, didn’t notice”.

Maybe a giant full-screen banner declaring “YOU!!! ARE THE CAPTAIN!!!” complete with fireworks and everything…

Realistically though, I believe there are already guides available for the different type of matches… If they could make these more available, that would probably be better…

I bit like this, it’s an accurate reflection of my reaction when I am selected as Captain anyway:

Well yes , a giant banner could work too I’d say x3

Simple captain switching tactic: reset computer and hope to get back in the battle before it ends xP

Maybe alt-ctrl-del + end process works as well and its faster.

OH, or unplug internet cable!

Sooo, ya, in combat recon in case the current capt naturally disconnects the mm should pick someone currently flying a ship of the same size as the enemy capt or look at kill rating or whatever, dunno. But NOT the next person. Taught myself to pick my would-be-captain ship if the guy above me is picked just in case. Happened twice to really need that so far.

I bit like this, it’s an accurate reflection of my reaction when I am selected as Captain anyway:

The game picks me as captain 80% of the time, that is EXACTLY how I feel every single time.
