I have the idea that a squad is able to lay a handicap upon itself, that means some form of machanical disadvantage, for example a percentage of reduced damage.
With this handicap, matchmaker changes for example letting this squad fly against randoms.
There would be two benefits. First randoms could fly against Squads so reducing wait time. Second game would be more balanced and randoms as well as Pro-Squads would have more challenge and fun.
There is no benefit on it. This would only encourage solo play instead of team play. What we need is to give randoms a reason to form squads and play together, not put a handicap on some players just because they want to play together.
Sorry if I didn’t read properly but you didn’t say anything about a “willing” handicap, you just said that squads would have a mechanical disadvantage to compensate the big impact they make in the game.

I believe this is the quote you missed.
And this would be quite fine with me. I despise wait times and would be fine with a little damage reduction or other handicap. Maybe like -2% speed and -3% damage? Something similar would make this balanced but not too hindering for the applicees.
That numbers would change literally nothing. It would be enver worse for solo players since squads wouldn’t need another squad in the enemy team to get a game.
Not exactly. This feature is meant for experienced squads that assume they can win against randoms or less experienced squads too easily.
A squad toggles this handicap and starts searching for a game.
Now the matchmaker tries to find suitable opponents. Due to the toggled handicap, a smaller squad or randoms are considered fair opponents, and if such are found the handicap is applied. If another Squad of the same size and aptitude is possible as opponents, the handicap is not applied,
