Yes Tillo, but there is more to it. I see very often (t3,t4) 8 newbies and tier rushers (like me ) on one side and 8 hard core players on other. Total mismatch. So there are 16 players but they are distributed in unfair way. Is it possible for server to calculate some player index based on total pvp matches/kill ratio/ or some other way that represent real skill of a player … not just ship rank and level. How much time the server needs to calculate 16 equations and distribute players based on results - about one second?
I’d love to see T4/5 restriction where you have to equip 3ships to launch game. 3 ships which can be used in game(aka max 4rank diff between them), coz u know CTB
We use to have k/d rating, it was easily farmable and was changed to one based on tier you are playin.
total pvp games mean nothing… skill wise
k/d > easy to farm or keep it low to abuse mm
also it’s hard to measure skill of tierrusher coz they just lack basic knowledge of the game.
Somebody has to invest time and discover equation that best represent skill of a player.
Number of pvp matches means experience. Add there number of kills per match and it tells u something more … add there win/ lose ratio and u got something close.
Single parameter means nothing, i know, but there are combination of statistic data that can handle matchmaking issue. Maybe not perfect but better for sure.

Yes Papitas, u are right - but I m telling that advantages between mk1 and mk4 are too great. Calculate difference in mk2 and mk4 modules between same ships with same setups. 20% primary weapon advantage + 20% resistances advantage + on 20% hull repair and Shield boosters for example … its almost 40-50% stronger ship (If not more). And if u calculate differences between r10 l2 mk2 and r12 l10 mk4 this difference is enormous. New players need little more fun - and they are meat just because of equipment (not taking skill in consideration here) for too long (year or half of a year). Much of them just loose interest.
And here you are right also. But maybe there should be little less grinding - 10 or 15%. (personally i don’t have big problem with this).
hehe sounds like vouchers are required to be farmed for ever…i still dont have all mk4 equipment for T5 and my T4s are mostly mk2 (T3 is kind of a mix). Imo T4 voucher prices could be tunned down a lot, and T5 voucher prices reduced a little bit (close to T4 actual prices). Also PVE should grant more contract completion, balancing a little more the voucher income from PVP and PVE.
Also yes, grinding should be lowered a little too imo (the fact of going through all ranks to get only 1 ship at T5 aint cool)

lol out of possible situations, you show this as BAD MM?, it look to me that was relatively close game, and it was 6 min long even with you having less ships.
I even add to that, you were the one with 1 ship and was the one of the major reasons your team lost.
1st I don’t play with GS unless I get them ingame for quest reward and then I buy ships with discount with it to get free gear (bought total of 3 rank 12 ships to get more contract points)
2nd I don’t play with full synergy ships cause no point can’t transfer that synergy anywhere so it’s losing time
3rd if I’d have money to buy T4 ships and get gear for them to play them I’d do it and don’t tell me to play more, I spend like 4-5h on PvE t3 to get money, we play custom pve in my corp so we win even with 3 players
4th I’m not tier rushing when I get money I buy ship and play it in hope I’ll get money to buy next ship when I max synergy on it

why, do you have a trick how you can get with a full lineup from T3 to T4 without grinding yourself to death? T4 ships cost a considerable amount more than T3 and I remember that I did the same when I (after having about 20 T3 ships) bought my first T4 ship and recognized how much more credits you get from doing PvP and especially PvE. I had my full T4 lineup much faster this way than if I’d had gotten all the credits in T3. Sucks for capture the beacons but for everything else, if you bought the right ship and are comfortable with it, you can totally grind your money in T4 with one ship and get much faster more T4 ships.
Right now I’m in a similar position with transitioning from T4 to T5. 9mill for R14 Recon is a huge sum, ~36 for a full lineup even more. But hell yeah I will do PvP once I have my Spectre Falcon, even if it means to fill the other 3 slots with T4 ships
init0 even when you don’t have 4x T4 you can still use T3[difference between max and min rank in line up can be 4], flying those T3 when your T4 is destroyed will increase chance of winning for your team and you’ll get
some credits and synergy from them. Also better equipment on those t3 + max synergy can compensate for tier difference.

When I see someone in t4/5 with only one ship I assume it’s tierrusher or just stupid coz u know with CTB around not having 3/4 ships in line up is special.
it isn’t correct to put players with 1 ship in that quest at all.

when I die I can’t respawn or take another ship while player with more ships can and that is adventage for team which got players with more ships.
not to mention that I’m with green wep and most of white mods and rest are green
I got gunned down with guy with gold wep in couple secs while I couldn’t make him 3 good hits cause of his fast shooting rate
He has a point, MM should make an exception for players carrying 1 or 2 ships (and instead of launching capture the beacons it could pick any other game mode). I remember my days with my first and only T4 jeri LRF (XD!)…its not like you can choose much (getting all T3 ships is soooooo long and useless, you totally waste a huge amount of time since you grind a lot slower than in T4-5, also, you dont get that precious R15 implant wich helps), you have to make your way through with what you have and buy stuff as soon as you can. Also PVP is vital to get more ships, you can also do it at PVE but it takes a lot more to get the synergy (i did a lot PVE when i was getting my first T4 and T5 ships to have enough money for the next ship and equipment (mk2)). I never bought licences, boosters, DLCs, prem ships, so i had to do it the hard way.
Thats the experience (mine) of a 0 cash player.
Im not gonna talk about the player skill now, because its clear that Ateist666 has a lot to improve, like anyone of us had to when we were getting the first T4 ships.
