Auto Silencing/Ejection of Spam Players

after being harassed by bluedalek3 for a week or so, i’d like to suggest that any players that post the same message more than three times in the same 5 second space should be silenced for 10 minutes and all messages apart from the original are to be deleted. This is a result of me having almost constant PM spam from this annoying little ****. The only places this shouldn’t apply are group chat which you can leave or corp chat which an officer can remove them from the corp for spamming and being a distraction to corp duties. Further, it’ll help reduce the amount of people in w/c who do things like this:

i’ll find the chat logs then, it clearly doesn’t apply for this guy

well, it seems conflict deletes chat logs after a certain amount of time. I have messages from him but nothing with him spamming. Next time he spams i’m taking that log file out and bolting it in another folder before conflict decides to delete it.

The spam protection just cannot be set too sensitive otherwise it would also harm normal chats.

In fact I would like an option to ignore everyone by default except an exception list.

i disagree, the clauses in my original post would only single out the spammers as spammers generally don’t take the time to change words every post.

reporting, as far as i’ve experienced, does nothing

That inspires me to write a program that automatically backs up every session logs!, then add another part to it to analyze the logs to find the chat/player you’re looking for, I think that sounds like a challenge and fun for me!

You can do that in .bat file with couple of lines
