Assorted suggestions

Well, I kind of wanted to share with everyone a few things I’ve been thinking about (even though I know half of these will be slammed back at my face, and the other half into the ground).

Adaptive shield:
Instead of 0 points of resistance whilst <110% speed, whilst the ship is going >75% max speed (not including afterburners) 13 points of resistance is added.

-The regular effect of 27 points at 110% speed (@ Mk1) is unchanged

Tactical warhead:
Instead of ~8000 damage, 1 in a cartidge with 120 second reload - 12500 damage, 3 cartidge with 20 second cooldown and 180 second reload.

JLRF Guided Torpedo:
Side note: I have no clue how the torpedo scales, so I’ll just put the suggested stats straight up
Range: 11500
Damage:
Mk0: 5000
Mk1: 6500
Mk2: 7500
Mk3: 8000
Mk4: 10000
Mk5: 12500

Explosion radius: 450

Recharge: 20 seconds

ELRF Disentergrator:
Side note: Same story as above, just going to post the suggested stats straight up
Range: 12500
Damage:
Mk0:5000
MK1:6500
MK2:7500
MK3:8500
MK4:9500
MK5:10250

Recharge (module): 3 seconds
Charge time: 1.5 seconds

Heavy Guard Drone & Sentry drone:
Only one of the two modules can be equipped at the same time

Cruise missile:
Side note: I’m gonna just post the suggested stats straight up now
Range (without implants) 9500
Damage: 11500
Flight speed: 500 m/s

 

Flares (all tiers):
Recharge:
Mk1: 30 seconds
Mk2: 25 seconds
Mk3: 20 seconds
Mk4: 20 seconds + 25% chance of dropping all enemy lock ons

I like the flare suggestion.

my only problem with the guard drone one is that it punishes players that use the drone-pooper style in the proper manner, using them as a defensive and extra DPS rather than cruising off under cloak and b*tching about getting no points and having the drones killed

I only put my suggestion for the drones as currently t5 is almost as populated with drone poopers as ecms, which was why I suggested a slight fix for a growing problem.

No one cares about guard drones.

 

I like the adaptives idea, though they are already crazy good. This would just give them too much…

 

LRF this was tried already, it was bad.

 

I like the flares idea. The chance of lock dropping. Not the none existent cool down. That would kill tacklers.

Umm… so I’m not allowed just to slowly build up/cut down a list of assorted suggestions I’m guessing?

well, its much easier to comment single suggestions and forward them to the Dev

 

e.g. if one got declined we dont want to forward the full thread

Would it be possible to just forward a singular post then rather than a full thread? As I simply made one thread for all of my suggestions because sometimes I get bored and think of changes, and sometimes I think that the changes I thought of are okay, which is why I have the title as assorted suggestions, rather than post multiple topics each with one suggestion each, especially since that would be classified as spam if I were to post 5-6 topics within 10 minutes.
