Arms Race Updates Discussion

A long LONG time ago, some of the corps where allowed to increase their iridium storage. No one said why or anything. The thing was - someone, somehow knew why the iridium is needed and in what quantities. Possibility to increase the iridium storage was then removed. And so at this time we have some corps with over 100k storage space, fully prepared to spend their iridium to have a significant advantage in this competition. If the prizes were for top ten - then yes, there is a possibility to other corp to get those prizes, but now I don’t see it. And announcing the “Arms Race” and then defining the prizes in the second week AFTER it started?

Do you have proof of this?  I have never seen or heard of this before.

about corporations with storage bigger than 50k?

u not trollin?

Did you never check the corporation ranking Iridium there where about 3-4 with far over 100k in their bank already long before the event started most of them where RU corporations

its really unfair that the where allowed to keep it.

I was in a corp that was near the top of that leaderboard.  We regularly changed our logo when the bank was full, In order to stay at the top.  We never had more than 5k saved up (the maximum possible) until it was increased to 50k.

No, I’m not trolling.  I don’t make a job out of it like you and certain others on this forum do :stuck_out_tongue:  It might have been before I joined the game, but I have honestly never heard of it.

The number of iridium shown in the leaderboard indicates the ‘all-time’ iridium gain, which is the total number of iridium a corporation ever collected and not the currently owned amount.

Well corps like SCORP SWAT RDS where all beween 100k-160k already when i just started the game about half a year ago. There where also some GM’s as well that where not quite happy that they where allowed to keep their iridiumbunker but well what you want to do honest players get punished by unpunished bugusers. :01414:

I know that but half a year ago you  had only about 4k max storage in the corp and no way to use it until dreads came up now and at that time they where already in 100k+

Like I say, constantly switching logo back and forth.

I

I        it calculates the total iridium ever owned by a corp, not what they currently have in store hence

except the limit was always 3k, not 5k

It is true.

Some people, which paid with GS currency, got the possibility to increase their storage of Iridium Corporate supply.

That option was later removed from the game. Very similar like some tier 3 equipment then got removed and put on higher tiers, but those who had it already, they have kept it.

Same goes for some Invasion made modules or equipment. I must say, that I wouldn’t mind, if there would still be the option do so, but since there were no options any longer, only people who must have known about this, used this for their own gains.

Wow I had absolutely no idea.  Why has noone ever complained about this before?  This speeding up “competition” is just a joke then, if this is true.

Simple.

Economic questions and their policy about those.

I know that this isn’t fair. The option to extend Iridium storage should exist even now, to even up the odds.

Now you can’t remove their Iridium, especially if they paid for the storage capacity increase.

ESB is not amongst them, because we had 3000 Iridium cap.

iaxil, Please tell me that’s a joke. I know devs opinion is based on majority of players (which means - RU players), but to be honest I was suspecting something like this. We tried very hard to convince our people to NOT donate iridium to speed up the process, as there is no point doing so. A long LONG time ago, some of the corps where allowed to increase their iridium storage. No one said why or anything. As other pilots said in this thread - maybe you should think how to get more people playing this game and less about how to glorify a few corps more? It doesn’t work that way. Names of those corporations are synonymous with “cheaters and exploiters” amongst new players, which almost immediately kills the joy of playing this game. With lowering loot value in open space, people don’t want to fly there any more. Changes to matchmaking leaded to situations where three T1s squad was met with ESB two people R6 squad. Guess what was the reaction from those newbies? Yes, they’ve heard of ESB, DNO and whatnot. They just said “f…word cheaters again” and all three disconnected. Is that the direction of this game? To get more people disconnect?

and to end this OT rant:

After 15 months of active playing, spending proper amount of money to show the support for this game instead of going to nice, tropical holidays, I reached the point where I just can’t see this game can improve any more. With all those unsupported promises and stupid changes based on imaginary “majority of players” (sorry I just CANT see that REALLY majority of players - which means T2s T3s and occasional higher tiers would ie. requested the 80-90% nerf in Open Space loot value or 10 fold increase in resistance or requested a mission like below: )

I know most of you don’t give a rat’s xxxx about it, but I resigned from the position of NASA officer. I will play the game as I like flying in space in nice ships but I’m sorry - I will not support the game any more unless something drastically will change.

Sums up my thoughts of the game pretty well.

I really thought for a while that no such thing as active support for russian players was the case, well until on one side the gaijin sponsored tournaments which somehow are completely in russian even when promoted as international, which is if the international community even gets notice of them.  The russian tournaments even have enormorous money prices (unlike the international ones), 40000 standards compared to around 4000 from the international ones (which the GMs have to sponsor themselves).

On the other side: Iridium. Several corps (almost only russian ones I might add) had stockpiles far above the limit visible in the corp screen. Obviously bug using. No one really cared - I mean wasn’t of any use anyway. Now it is and somehow their stockpiles were not reseted to the corp maximum. Which gives them an insane advantage in the arms race.

Still - Hey the prices for the arms race are for the top ten, so it’s possible for other corps, too? Well not anymore it seems, because the devs decided again to defecate on the international community by limiting the prices to the top 3, which obviously used bugs.

All in all, this game is a joke, well done devs I stopped caring. Pander your russian master race some more…

edit: Just read that it was possible earlier to increase the storage cap, by investing money. Giving the corps with increased storage their money back and deleting the iridium to even things out was again too much it seems.

So true, where can I sign?

How in the name of the devil can I honestly tell a recruit that everything is fair and square when we KNOW about those things. Until now, we mostly accepted the fact. That was, until some joker came along and did two things:

  • switch back from top10 corps to top3

  • leave iridium bunkers alone

Why did I even like the post below? I feel so ashamed because I was falling for this April’s fools joke.

True that as well. But we didn’t complain because it was promised to level the playing field before dreadnoughts would be here. Promise? Broken. Again.

I am sad, I am frustrated, I am disappointed. Worst of all: I feel betrayed. And I ask you, managers and developers and kin alike: Why. Why do you do that.

I wonder how long this post survives. :008j:

To all concerned players.

We know about your complains about rewards and will discuss it during next week and come back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you iaxil, I really appreciate the time and effort you are investing. It would be a nice thing if you would discuss more with us concerned players, to prevent us feeling sad and turning eventually away from the game instead of recruiting more players around the world. :001j:

Now again in russian, that should help a bit.

It would be great if the top 10 best corporations could get a price.

To all concerned players.

There is a simple solution for this issue.

Top 10 Corporations should get those rewards free of charge, but we can still get them in the form of GS.

In short, we must pay, instead of get this for free.

Problem solved.
