[Arcade] Beacon Hunt Changes

Currently my least liked gamemode, beacon cycle is same ever game and it turns into an interceptor race, minefield spam instead of a fight.

 

A gamemode focused purely on offence and with a very short window on each location isn’t fun, beacon popping up without being randomize only makes matter worse.

I wish it is taken out of rotation until something is done about it.

 

Suggestion:

  • Change it into a King of the hill type gamemode with long holding time
  • Beacon spawn in random location with a slight delay after first spawn (allows different starting tactics)
  • Large beacon capture area
  • Team gains points according to control ratio
  • Point moves to a random location after an extended time, something like 5 minutes to prevent excessive camping

If you thought it was minefield mania now, wait until you see it after 5 minutes fighting at the same beacon.

Other than the larger capture area your changes do nothing to solve the problems you’re complaining about. If anything they make them worse.

This! is very important, random location. Right now is way too predictable.
