Currently my least liked gamemode, beacon cycle is same ever game and it turns into an interceptor race, minefield spam instead of a fight.
A gamemode focused purely on offence and with a very short window on each location isn’t fun, beacon popping up without being randomize only makes matter worse.
I wish it is taken out of rotation until something is done about it.
Suggestion:
- Change it into a King of the hill type gamemode with long holding time
- Beacon spawn in random location with a slight delay after first spawn (allows different starting tactics)
- Large beacon capture area
- Team gains points according to control ratio
- Point moves to a random location after an extended time, something like 5 minutes to prevent excessive camping
