I have to be honest, playing Sector Conquest against some of the better Interceptor pilots, I actually find myself supporting the AIMA module. One game in particular there was a single CovOps left on the enemy team with me (Spartacus) plus a T5 ECM and T5 Recon all trying to hit him, and he was spinning around like crazy in the middle of us and taking no damage at all. I would have very much liked a module that would have let me just blow the guy out of the sky irrespective of his bugged-as-hell flight patterns.
What about capping and winning? Also, if one T5 ECM one T5 recon with the cover of a T4 command cannot kill a cover ops… well, you need more training. Mostly because spy drones+energy absorber+stasis+valkirie is death in 1 sec to any interceptor.
Concerning the AIMA, yes, it should be removed. End of discussion.
This is the first twitch based shooter I know that have sanctioned AimBot included in the options. Aim assists was not enough??
If you’re against it, don’t use it. And emergency shield+regen is quite useful if it annoys you that much.
(Plus, nearly all bots have auto-aim that lasts WAY longer than 1.8 seconds and it is coutered by simply going behind a wall or breaking lock. Easy-peasy.)
Why not simply make A1MA an Engineer exclusive module that only works on locked friendly units?
Eclipse Launcher + Old A1MA + Locked Friendly. The developers won’t have to remove it, just restrict it. It will make healing faster friendly units with the Eclipse Launcher a lot easier. And while they’re at it, they can make it’s healing function sound friendly for the guy being shot, rather than making him panic because he thinks he’s being attacked…
Maybe for Eclipse Engineers exclusive, if you lock on your mate, he don’t see this red triangle, he would see a green one next to the red one.
It shows the pilot the engineers wants to heal him.
The engineer can also good heal moving targets.
To avoid confusing you can’t lock on full life mates.
This lock is instantly.
This would be a great feature.
certainly a good idea to have the friendly lock for eclipse, don’t see why we would need aima for that.
but the friendly hit sounds should really be changed; after all, if the sounds are produced by your ships computer anyway, filtering friendly nanites from harmful ones should be possible after ingame lore anyway
Personally, i don’t find A1MA to be that bad. It’s t4 only i think, so you can’t bring it into t3 and you have the disadvantage of a lower ranked ship in t4/5 battles. The recharge time is a little low, 20 seconds. Perhaps up it to 30?
