As with any organization, a system for communications is essential in maintaining order and cohesion. As an officer, there are times when a relevant development occurs and I wish to share information with everyone within the corp. What I am proposing is an in-game system to facilitate the broadcasting of important messages.
Possible implementations:
Utilize the mail system already in place by allowing officers of a corp to send messages to all players within the corp.
Establish a space where officers can post updates like on a forum board which can be read by others.
It occurs to me that spam becomes an issue with the first method. This could be addressed by limiting the number of announcements made per day in this fashion, or preventing broadcasts to be sent within a certain amount of time from one another.
I understand checking the forums (either the SCon forums or a corp’s private forum) is not something all players do. Allowing officers to leave in-game messages would be the best way to ensure information is given and received in a timely manner.
Corps should have some kind of ingame Info section, where ceo/officers can edit, and every member can read. For example to put links for website, TS server, and any other stuff that is required.

Absolutely. That was the primary reason for the second suggestion. It would save officers from having to spam corp chat with details such as server addresses and website links.
Additionally some sort of corp info page that could be visible to anyone where others could check how to apply for specific corp from ingame, or directions where to go to do that, or just overall info about that corp.
Today I found out there is a function that allows people to set a message that displays to all corp members upon entering the game. It also appears again when one opens the corp tab.

I would still be interested in seeing an info page, as Sunder mentioned.
