The gauss cannons? Yup. It’s alright if it actually hits, though many times I have to release a charged shot into empty space because my target made an unexpected turn behind an asteroid, and I don’t want my cannon to overheat. Not something I want in a close quarters dogfight, where quick reactions are needed. That’s why I said it’s not as good as before.
I also can’t help but feel that I’m not using the gauss cannon correctly because I fight at such a short range. =
The weapons aren’t my most major concern; it’s not finalized yet anyway.
Yeah, just sit at mid-range (2.5/3km) and use the weapon speed modifier on it. Works wonders for me, tbh.
That just makes tacklers very, very sad.
Well… no loss, considering how that still gets the job done. Plus, seeing how ugly the T5 Fed tacklers are, I might actually start flying other kinds of fighters if I can actually cough up the required synergy to buy them.
Tacklers? With the Gauss? No, Assault rails or BBB.
Don’t like the horrible overheating on the assault rails. IMO gauss and assault rails are kinda just a matter of personal preference. That aside, I really hate to admit it, but dang, the bubbles still rock.
In other news… Jericho LRFs still need a bit of love. The Templar AE is so lacking that I feel bad for my team.

I have a Templar and an Ira Deus. Guards… I hate them when I’m flying these ships. The torpedoes are awesome but broken whenever there’s more than 1-2 Guards in the field.
Progression is what makes games fun, When you make a progression a grind, no matter how fun the game is, no one will want to devote countless hours to something trivial. T5 is that trivial tier. After you get all the ships. What is there?
- Caution: JP HACK is under the influences of Sweet Rolls. Under no way does he endorse, sponsor, or represent Star Conflict in any way, shape or form. -

You should just get back into the game and actually try the changes for real. Most of the haters seems to have come around at this point.
Lol, I doubt that. I still don’t like the changes, and I think it really decreased the fun of game play… Though not to the point that it is unplayable… That is my opinion of it, (Probably partly because I have spent $53 USD on the game, though I won’t spend any more now). Most people have probably fallen silent about it because, like me, they realize that continued arguing against the patch is useless, and the Admins will do what they want to do.
EDIT: Just wanted to point out that I don’t want what I said to sound like the GMs, developers, ect don’t care about player feedback, but that so much has been said on the matter, that continued bashing and arguing over the patch will not do any more to persuade the Developers and Admins to make any changes. At least, thats what it looks like to me.
And we are still watching the situation and there will be more tweaks according to the communities feedback.
I hope you are right. You need to re-think Synergy. My premium ships do practically nothing for me now. I believe one of 2 things should happen given the current situation and an appropriate way to appease those that buy the DLC packs or premium ships:
Synergy transfer should be free for premium ships (I already paid Gold Standard for the ship, I should not be asked to spend more Gold Standard to transfer that Synergy)
Synergy transfer on premium ships should cost credits NOT Gold Standard
However you decide to do it, there should be a bonus for having premium ships, not a penalty. You’re really giving the middle finger to everyone that has spent money on your game and it is quite sad to see that.
Here some news on the capped synergy:
Yes the synergy is currently capped per ship, but this is due to prevent farming and we are currently reworking this system.
This is already the case. I spend all last night flying Long-Range Frigates to get through that tree, but I am absolutely terrible with them compared to my normal ships. So where I would normally make 10-15 kills for the team, now they’d be lucky to get 5.
I’m not sure if that’s the best move in the world in terms of development and progress - plus on top of that we had to drop several tiers and probably annoyed the less experienced players there whilst grinding up our ships.
It’d be much appreciated if synergy isn’t tied to performance in battle.
otherwise random teams will be stuck flying ships they need to rank up and ignore teamwork
the grind is already high, just give flat rate synergy so progress is based on number of games played. not how well it’s played.
heck - in the real world pilot licenses are pretty much down to flight time in hours and not how pretty you landed the mono-prop.
I switch to Empire Saturday, playing a mix of long range and gunships. Right now it’s the gunships since there are fewer ships to advance faster. It unlocks implants faster as well. I was playing ships just because they needed synergy. I’ll have to go back to LRF’s, and those aren’t that great.
One sad part of T1 matches, when the LRF’s on your team go to the next beacon before everyone else…

Get hails. Get a squad that covers you. Have steady aim. Double your old ship’s score.
