Wait… WHAT? Elaborate this point please… are u telling me you can’t play anymore with (example) long range interceptors?
So i can’ use a fast, dodge oriented build interceptor anymore couse of mines and guided missiles spam … i can’t use a stab railguns on it couse now weapons are standard (and i bet interceptor will have only short rangge spamming weps) … basically everything i loved in the game is gone…
The further you want to fire at, the bigger gun you need, and a bigger vessel to carry that gun, this explanation sounds logical to me.
p/s: is there anyone watching “Hitler secret weapon” show?
I am looking forward to seeing how much credits I have when i log in >< I was running pretty low. haha… need to save for t5!
I did not expect it so soon.
By the way, the Sai ship- is so sexy and kick xxxx looking, best looking ship in the game; but sir, it is a recon class. Why make such a bad xxxx and brutal ship such as this Sai interceptor and then make it a recon? Wouldnt it make more sense to make it a covert op, then at least I could play it with some sort of effeciency?
Or then do something about the recon class, because it is by far the most underpowered of all the interceptor types. I was curious to see what you think about giving the Recon ship the ability to do a massive single-target heal to a team-mate, like a squad mate about to die. Healing them 100% or 50% of their total HP regardless of ship type maybe? I dont know, I just hate how slow and ineffective my Cerberus 2 and other Engineer frigates are now at saving my team-mates lives. I used to enjoy the burst I would get with using remote hull repair on a squadmate Gunship for example about to die and heal his hull to full rapidly, then use drones and save his life. Now its all automated, and it feels mindless to just sit there and do nothing. I just sit around all damn match, I hate it and so does everyone else flying engineer, they do it just so their team may have a chance at winning.
But why limit such a powerful skill with such a slow ship, give the recon a healing module with a large CD and huge single target heal, done with % of the total HP / Shields of the target friendly. I think that would be kick xxxx, and give the recon at least some chance at taking up a hangar position when I queue for pvp, or better yet, just make the Sai ship a Covert Op.
No.
Get Jasan to give you lessons on how to fly a recon properly.
I’m very interested in the cooldown on missiles/mines as well as the price to purchase them. Also, will my missiles be “used” if I don’t use that specific ship in the battle? Or better yet, if I don’t fire a missile will I still need to replace my clip?
If you have ships you didn’t use in battle their rocket clips will remain intact. If you used a ship in battle, even though you didn’t use any rockets - the clip will be considered to be ‘used’.

My thoughts exactly. Eventho I dont play long range ceptor but I do play close range command. And now the closest weapon to what I used will be ceptor excludive.
Yhis change kinda castrates the metagame. I think this new weapon system is just a way to avoid having to deal with the stab railguns balancing…

I don’t care if it sounds “logical”, it will reduce the personalization by a lot.
Now we are going to have standard classes… just like in crap n00bs frendly games ;(
Anticipate possible scenarios, but avoid giving judgement on changes before you see how they are in actual game for enough time.
I’ve played enough MMOs to realize that.

uhm, NO. but i think that leads to another idea, which is: to give recons a module to provide a single ship with a 25% speed boost for a limited (10-15 sec) duration. of course, there would need to be a speed cap somewhere in the game to prevent it from being used on another covops or recon unit, which would pretty much give them warp speed using afterburners lol
haha, but anyways, it would always require a targetting system that allows you to boost a single ally target, i cant think of any weapons in the game that select a single ally. they’re all AOE boosts ;o
on second thought, not really useful in combat. but then again, a recon isnt a combat vessel. its more a niche vessel for clan fights or squads at least. but if you could boost any ally, you could get an escort. or help someone to escape certain death. but honestly, not very useful indeed… needs better idea :\
I just got back to playing yesterday, and now it looks like the game is going to DIE over night lol… oh well, time to find something else…
Well, some of the things may not appeal to a hardcore gamers like you guys, but we are trying to make game for all of our players. And again - we’re gathering your suggestions and review them. So… if there’s something you think would be cool - try to post you suggestions.

Why do you think it is going to die? We are waiting forward for this patch.

Give it a try, dude. You don’t lose much, and possibly you will find it interesting.

you dont need to be a hardcore gamer to realize that the mod changes are going to lead to 3 things.
A. less ship customization options.
B. inability to load custom mods for each ship, instead having to share mods across ship types.
C. the increased module maintenance fees will at least in some regard offset the reduced repair costs.
or that having more missiles/nukes in a game is a bad thing, not a good thing. missiles need to be a strategic option, not an easy button. same goes for LRF (at least in low tiers), it is an easy button…
Antibus I think it would be cool to give Recon a huge single target heal based on % of Total Ship Hull and Shields. Regardless of ship type.
And give it a friendly lock on- like a target painter. And have it a huge cooldown maybe. 70 seconds for Experimental perhaps?
Why do you think it is going to die? We are waiting forward for this patch.
Nuclear winter wiped a lot of people from the corp roster. Ending it wiped out some more because many got used to it and used it aggressively, quitting upon its final stoppage. Game effectively lost many who didn’t like it, and many who liked it.
I doubt that those of us who had the patience to endure it have much of it in reserve to endure another one. As it seems so far, you’re clearly setting it as a viable form of gameplay with CO going in, unloading everything it has including a nuke and activating suicide module for “double nuke”. Rinse and repeat ad nauseum. Have several people in the squad do it. Not terribly different from squads of strongs smashing nukes into beacons which effectively destroyed the game just a little time ago.
I’m surprised just how short of a memory developers apparently have.
Let’s test the idea about nukes first when we get into the game, only a few more hours to go.
ETA is not very trust worthy though.
Why do you make such a big deal of nukes? There will be One nuke in a clip. Just one. Yes, CD will reset after death. But should there be any signs of NWII we will take steps to solve the problem as soon as possible.

that is a problem, isn’t it. people get upset when you take away their ‘exploits’. that’s why balance is paramount in PVP games. i remember this happened guild wars, but in the PVE realm. when they nerfed ursan skills (which was an easy button), some 2-3% of the population quit. but it was meant to happen anyways. but when they nerfed perma/600, which required a considerable amount of player skill to use simply because of ‘farming’, which in fact was the most fun aspect of the PVE game (speedruns, etc), they effectively killed the game. some 50% of the population quit. place was a ghost town. nobody on my friends list was on for months, some of the top players… all gone lmfao… they never came back.
for the record, anyone could farm using a perma/600 build, but to be effective you had to get the timing down right, and in some cases control 3 AI characters… the APM required was insane. i mean, you could farm one group at a time, but with the drop rate, that takes forever. to properly ball 4-5 mobs in a group and survive took consiberable amounts of skill. and that is all the fun in a game - which was taken away.
just to give you an example. a common faction farm speedclear was DTSC, i know of no player who could complete their run (4 teams of 2 men) to clear the map in under 8-9 minutes. most common was 11-15 minutes (sometimes 20, dear god)… i could do it in 6-7. then i started on someone else’s mobs… usually because someone died ;o lol… not a single player could clear that zone faster. tank 4 mobs at a time, with 1-2 knockdown warriors in each group. takes some pretty sick timing and understanding of the AI mechanics. or try tanking a group of Oni assasins (same zone) without casting Spell Breaker, or even spirit bond to heal yourself. you could tank it all with one skill timed properly: shield of absorption. very few players could pull it off every time without dying tho. and dying on that speedclear costs you a minute or two on your run, but wasting spell breaker also wastes 45 seconds on the cooldown ;p so it’s a tradeoff: a pro’s gamble haha…
the amount of nuclear winter 2 complaints is too damn high…
If people havnt notice, nukes is still cov ops only and have been alot easier to detect since the last nw
Antibus =/ What do you think about my recon change
No like it?

This reminds me of Gunz and Gunz second Duel. Gunz was all about how you exploit the glitches in game and compete with others using those glitches (those glitches then were called skills, styles, etc…). When the developer removed it in Gunz second Duel, people complained.
