Would you like to see the Guard anti missile shield need two shots to take down a Jericho LRF guided torpedo. If no, please explain why

I gave that dev a poll.

This poll is pretty much oblivious. Most people won’t even understand what it means.
If you want my vote, get 10GS ready for me. xP
Actually it’s a nice idea. Good job! Bigger missiles should need more hits. Maybe add EM torps, Cruise missiles. And what would be nice if it could de-mine an area. Imagine a guard goes to a beacon which is scattered with mines, and after a couple seconds of green lazor show it’s clear.
Been suggested before. Nothing happened.
I think its a bad idea, actualy the only way to reduce lrf population its use guard frigs with AMS. And yes i said reduce lrf population, If u play T3 u can see every game like 2/4 static lrf for each team. Static mean that lrf only moves his xxxx when its at 50% of hull to try to save his life, and never do the basic objectives like beacons or detonations.
don’t you mean JLRF population? Anyways doing this suggestion won’t break the game. It just sucks how guards can negate the power of the JLRF like a recon can negate the tackler cloak. It’s even worse because you waste precious seconds used for something else.
One guard cannot relly negate a JLRF. Or you think the whole power of JLRF is in the torps? AMS only lasts for a certain time, if you see the green lazors fly, don’t launch a torp. Pretty easy.
I don’t see the need to nerf the guard any more than it has been lately. Keep in mind that the guard is the only counter measure for torps. This logic would be the same as saying that one hit from disintegrator should take down an ENG’s Static Barrier.
By using AMS as a way to control JLRFs, you’ll only be solving the symptoms of the problem.

Do people actually use static barrier?
