POLL - MM and new ships being WAY TOO OP (wtf)

Lately PvP is just TOO shady man. If you don’t have an Ellydium ship then you are just boned.

First off, Tai’kin is just a recon and 1 recon can take out the most powerful destroyer in the game with ease and in very little time. That’s maddening to say the least and crazy.

Second, DEVS, do you play this game? If so, how can you think this is ok? If not, I advise that you do so you can see for yourself how absolutely ridiculous it is.

Its not even worth playing PvP like this yet you make all our missions PvP based. WHY?!

Honestly, I can deal with all the other bs but sucking the life out of PvP is basically destroying the whole point in even having the game.

 

For the love of RNGESUS, please stop and test these ships on the test servers before releasing them to the exploiters because this to me is considered a bug and being exploited by many players.

I’m beyond angry about this. Absolutely ruined my whole gameplay experience today and the last few days but today just cut the cake.

 

 

I doubt forum posts are going to do much. They clearly have chosen to make certain new content overpowered, and will most likely continue to do so as long as ****** and ********* keep buying them.

Shotan, don’t just remove words and leave incomplete sentences. Atleast put some funny replacements or **** there.
Also, it is mildly disturbing that things cannot be openly called for what they are.

Balancing used to be done weekly, now we get a huge patch once a month IF we are lucky it fixes 1/10 of the problems. Between the ignorant people who don’t care what happens as long as they can buy the newest stuff and the prices don’t exceed 100$ per useless virtual item and the dev team that kinda gave up and started making everything around them, i don’t see any chance of things getting better. Might as well play other non pvp modes with your friends if you still want to have fun or give up being target practice in pvp entirely.

By then, there will be no veteran players left, only rookies with cash. And that’s what they are aiming for.

I use Thar’ga in OS dailies and PVE and that’s it. The other day I decided to give Lightbringer another go in a pve match, which when I first got it about 8 months ago, it was great. I did quite well with it. BUT, this time, I don’t know if its because they have nerfed it or because Thar’ga really just has that much of an advantage on  standard ships. So, instead of nerfing the new op ships, make the standard ones better, and when I say better, I mean WAY better.

Even with the strafing engine, strafing is way slower than a good thar’ga.

MM wasn’t the finest before Elly ships. There were and are several matches where 30-60% of a team doesn’t get the other team’s minimum effectiveness point.
Then the Elly ships with that totally made PVP unenjoyable (specially in higher ranks). Also I don’t know how pilot rating calculated, but it’s doesn’t represents pilot’s skills well enough imho.

Thats true, and the bigest true is that recon ship role is to SPOT ENEMIES, NOT DESTROY THEM!!!
So to be honest taikin is a little flying destroyer now…or maybe recon destroyer???

I play frigates, but when taikin appear in enemy team I just switch to my taikin, because if taikin also have “Kidnap” crystal, there is no way to defend, no matter HOW GOOD YOU ARE.

The matchmaking doesnt need change because these days, a R6 Tai’kin can take on a r14 vigilant as long as it has that beamer, no skills required

For me, I go up against teams with more elly ships than on ally team at least 75% of the time. If MM were balanced then it would split them into both teams but ofc that would require MM to know that Elly ships are op. So for MM to work right then you would have to address my first issue and then possibly the second issue as well THEN and ONLY then will MM have any chance of being proper IF coded properly by terms of how good the players are.

Stop putting all Nasa and Ninja in one team and other team a bunch of people no one has ever even heard of.

I want all alien based equipment to be excluded from tournaments and leagues. Bring back skill to the game.

We just lost against 5 taikin in league under 58 seconds, and I don’t even play tourney anymore.

No point to pay, no point to play!

First i don’t think Devs care about as this polls and other, is a huge grind and sale of GS right now so no changes soon.

Second fak Tai’kin is maybe 10x more OP than any other ship in this game.

Third is somebody say everything is fine i just want to punch him right in his face period.

Actually I have already confirmed that the devs do look at them but I don’t think they look too much into the comments. At the end of it all they look at the stats and may take some of the ideas/suggestions thrown out by those that have posted on the forums. Point is that if you do nothing then it may never be taken into consideration unless they think of it themselves.

 

Look at [@Koromac](< base_url >/index.php?/profile/243485-koromac/) for example, the bug report King. If he didn’t do that then a lot of those bugs just wouldn’t get fixed due to the devs looking more into other things and likely relying on people like Koromac. As a developer I can completely relate to that. (when I say as a developer I only mean small time stuff in GitHub but still the same thing just much smaller).

I think the issue is the Elly ships are too much customizable. You can build them to create perfect tools for specific purposes.
Also I think we got way too much content in a short time. They changed too much so they can’t really measure the effect each changes.
I would go more strict in the Elly shiptree to force the same rules what we have normal ships example 4 active module over R8 etc…
Its not normal that players can build 1-2 buttons ships and can maximalize damage, speed whatever skill they want.

Also I think Elly ships killing the Empire-Fed-Jeri balance. Elly ships are just joker ships without serious downside. Self damage is not a downside if you can compensate it with a simple modul (exampel TaiKin warp-damage + modul what heals you after warp)

IMO the damage is already done, Elly ships got introduced, they can’t remove them or restrict their usage.
Now the task is to balance them and figure it out how to nerf them to be equally powerful as any other ships.
Restricting the amount of Elly ships per side is a wrong direction i think.

But the most serious issue is IMO the warp ability. That just unable to counter atm. They should add delay before any warp + a resist drop same like they did with RT.

Maybe the Ellydium tackler will be specialised around hunting the other Ellydium ships.
