More testing reveals that it is not dependent on shield generator, nor damage output.
It seems to just be a rare event.

I still believe it’s about damage, not quite sure. It just seems like when your ship is a bit more into action this happens lol.

It happened on my Jaguar in a League match just now. Was even cooler on big engines. Also it seems to leave a sort of smoke trail. At least when it shuts off.

Nope it leaves the smoke all the time, check my video second clip again xD Tbh I want the engines to look like this when something I do my self, not others do to me (receiving critical as doombot saying) It’s EPIC!
Light-years are not a measurement of time…
a light year is the distance traveled by light in a year. he could be implying that it’s quite a lot of work and that his post is a year away at best.
