Also I have one last test for you. Take a ship with a non red/pink trail and make this happen. When it does, zoom out and look at your genuine ship trail. Is it still the original colour or does it change? Also try to see if you can see other players obtaining the phenomenon. I will be keeping an eye-out for it from now on.

The trail stays blue, check the video the second clip. Not sure if others can see this or not but gonna try to keep an eye on them.

Also I just noticed that the Nyx trail isn’t just solid pink, it is an inverted pirate trail. It goes from pink to yellow instead of yellow to pink. Super awesome.
And I’ve also noticed that when the flaming thruster thing happens your thrusters seem to -flash- on every time you use them, instead of the usual -pshhhhhhhhh- and the flash makes a considerable amount of light. It surprised me at first. Especially coming from 5 engines at the same time. XD

Lol really epic noticed that too! Oh and I noticed (not quite sure about it) that your weapons also get on fire at some point. Not sure when and how it happens. Maybe if multiple critical hits are landed!?

Well what I noticed is that if you deal like so so heavy damage/receive really heavy damage in a short period of time (1 - 3 seconds) this happens. I am not sure but this is just a theory!

Well, I was shooting at a teammate (see, I’m not crazy, papi!) in PvE between waves, and sparks flew from his ship in my view, but not his. So apparently it’s not juuuust crits.
