I dont know why this happens but it happens on certain times of the day on star conflict. No matter what region or what setting I queue for, the issue persist for usually 1 or 2 hours a day. The rest of the day is fine.
I have pretty fast internet so I know it is not my net, I am also using a cable connection if that matters.
I live in Canada in Montreal so I did a speed test to a remote server in Server in Californa USA just to show you guys that the distance isnt a problem.
OPs title is just too good. By the way Theberg, press f11 in game to see your ping and packet loss, that may help you to see if something bad is going on.

If I remember right, the servers you’re most likely to play on are in Frankfurt and St. Petersburg. California’s nothing. But this is a routine issue when under high ping and packet loss.
Lately I’m lucky to get under 150ms ping times for a match.

It will not solve anything, but it will tell you when it’s about to happen. You should also add the game logs so someone with knowledge about the matter can help you
LOL, you think that is bad? I should make a video of when i get packet loss on EU servers, on my gunship with the overcharge activated. You get dizzy just seeing it.
First, if you have already turned off auto-align ignore this sentence.
Second: (insert here what comes out in the end of the digestive system of any living mamal) servers, thats what happens. HEHEHEHE
I tried to take a screenshot of which server I was on and how high my ping was but the text would just go away whenever I would take a ss. I just played a game 15 minutes ago with over 300+ ping. The region said AR RU I think and the next game I played was in the same region but my ping was only 110-160 ?
Dunno what kind of wobbles you get, could be ping / packet loss related or ship tech related (mods and control style).
So what i can only tell you to try out are:
settings > gameplay > uncheck ‘auto-alignment’ or something like that; see how ship behaves
learn to balance the ship with strafing maneuvers and acceleration, works for me every time
These 2 are considering you have a certain something fit to your ship that makes them rotate too fast and try aligning too fast or you don’t really use strafing.

It’s a lag issue, probably some packet loss getting in there too. The packet loss will really hurt, but I haven’t seen the in game percentage change anymore. I know it’s there. All you can do is try to wait it out when it hits hard. There’s just too much of a delay between what you do and the server sees.
I have the same problem. Since yesterday i can’t play ANY game on ANY Server at ANY time. i tried to restart my router ( 8 times by now) reinstalled the game and tried to play several games.
I’ll be fine in one moment flying around with 51 ping and one moment later i get massive packet losses and a ping < 1000.
I’ve never had problems with lagg before, but since yesterday I am not able to play a single game…
I’d recommend nmap and using it to do traceroute to the servers. It’ll also give you ping times for each hop. With the dns reverse lookup, you can probably figure out where the problem is. Typically when I have horrible ping issues, it’s when moving from one ISP to another.
If the problem only occurs with Star Conflict, reinstalling might help - if you haven’t tried that yet. Or, if you’re playing via Steam, perhaps you should try installing the game directly from the website and use the game launcher.
