I own an Xbox I never use or play, so after trying Star Conflict I decided to try to give the gamepad option a try. Needless to say, windows has a problem with it. You need a wireless receiver kit if you have a wireless controller, otherwise it won’t work even if you have it plugged in. After some research, it seems the plug just charges.
You need a wired controller, or the wireless receiver to use the xbox controller on win xp sp3. There are drivers that do seem to work, if you have the right kind of controller.

Wrong my friend you can use any PS or xbox pad on the pc
Might want to look up Xpadder for windows xp or windows 7 Can use any control pad.
If you want others and more options look up MotioninJoy
Wired or wireless if you have the connection for them
Best way to do is use MotioninJoy first as this has drivers for ps3 pad that will install to system then can use choice of both
Best software I ever found can use any type of game pad Huck it up to your pc use the software to detect it if needed can download additional drivers from them
yes ur very song if u have a USB controler for xbox PS3 etc use that plug it in get the drivers for it and ur all set the wireless game pad is only for wireless controllers :01212:
Yea, that one is a must for a space shooter… And yes I know what a pain in the xxxx it is to code that part into a game and understand keyboard only at first. Shattered Horizon never got it because of that and you were in a space suit so not really needed but it I would have used one for the game if they had added it. That really was a fun game and the graphics were awesome. Keen still hasn’t coded it in for Miner Wars with their beta, hoping to see that soon with them…
how do i disable the 360 controller for just star conflict with out disableing it through out my entire pc i use the 360 headset for teamspeak only not the controller for any games
interesting last night after i made the orginal post but moments before i went to bed so i didnt have the chance to update the orginal the game seems to detect the controller due the the turn left, right, up and down functions are routed to it instead of my mouse yet the mouse will work fine in the menu i dont have the means to make a vid recreating this error
Your targeting and your analog flight controls are both tied to your crosshair. There is currenty no way to separate these two that I know of. On War Thuder (another game by Gaijin, similar but WWII plane based) I fly on an X52 pro. If you want a more flight sim style game for a ajoystick, I’d try that.
I cant think of any way to help your profile the joystick. I guess you could try making your main axes mouse control but you’d need to find a way to set stick center to mouse center.
