Also, frigates have 6 guns, so each “shot” potentially does 6 times the damage listed on the weapon’s information panel.

Corrected for math and he would have had to do 792.5 damage per shot and the maximum POSSIBLE for that weapon with all possible buffs in the situation is 770 (110*6 for the weapon base + assumed 6.8% damage mod + assumed 7% implant bonus)

There is a module called supernova that increase damage and reduce projectile speed. It can’t be bought under T3 but i have an experimantal Supernova T2 that in fact give a 38.5% dmg bonus. This would easily explain why EMP damage was higher than the Kinect one.
Another reason could have simply been the spread as in a full shot with kinect damage could have dealt way more damage.
Guess i’ll play a little with the log enabled to see if something happen anyway.

T2 mk3 heavy laser? Uhhh… closed beta item or what? There are none in shop, so I can’t verify your number.
45 resist is only 31% reduction tho.
And you kinda argue against yourself here: If this was unresisted damage, you would be getting hit with the full 2771 damage, not 2000.

heavy laser in T2 is the assault laser, economic is the rapid fire or something like that. My argument is that there’s no reasonable way for him to have be getting that much damage through my resists. I didn’t see it in the log so I’m pretty sure he didn’t have the fighter’s damage buff up which drops the actual damage down quite a bit. Removing that and the 7% from skills which based on how long this xxxx was firing I’m betting he was using the jerry mk6 skill, that leaves us right at about 2126, pretty close eh?

Most Empire ships got passive +10% weapon damage. Also crit can happen, and critical hits deal more than normal dmg. Even with as low as 1% crit chance you can have streak of 4 crits in a row. While the chance for that to happen is low, it can still happen.
you could also be debuffed with target painter which reduces your resists. there is a T4 implant that reduces resists by 15 on stuff you hit, though if its a T2 matcch that’s not going to apply
