Which ship line is the worst?

Why do u guys say command and guard r so bad? They seem fine to me

Those aren’t “obvious” disbalances that are eye sore for new players, it comes from experience and understanding how game mechanics and current metagame works

Fed and Jericho guards are perfect with the right build. Their shield tanking highly surpasses that of any empire ship’s shield + hull. (In T4/5, at least.)

I mean jericho guard and commands… R u guys also saying Jericho ECMs r bad?

Jericho Guards are “MEH” or “Low-MEH”, with the actual metagame, Fed Guards > Jericho Guards cause Mobility >>> Hard Tanking.

Pretty much every role counter part from different faction >jericho, there are some particular ships in Jericho lines that have combination of rank, passive bonuses and module layout that makes them really sweet, but those are rather exceptions from general rule.

Well, from tacklers point of view, i liked a LOT the Katana AE (R8 Jerry Tackler) since it is kinda sturdy, but i would trade it for a paralax in a blink of an eye if i got the standards for it.

Jerry commands are not superb, but they are easy to play and level, but so are the empire commands (but this one is much tankier) so yes, i would say that the worst is the jerry commands.

High level fed tacklers have better bonus’s though,

Imo the Sword AE is a really good tackler, just like the Bear but not that fast, but it’s at least tanky. 2 capacitor + 2 cpu +20% extra crit dmg from bonus makes him a very dangerous threat Imo.

I thought of that too, when i saw the bonuses, that thing with a gauss cannon should be awesome.

If you want to see the worst lineup then hit up with the Jericho LRF lineage. I was two-shotted by an empire sniper abouts 17 times today… in 2 matches. They also constantly receive nerfs from the devs to piss off any players who use them even more, whether it be a hull nerf or shield, it just doesn’t matter anymore, they’re almost useless now.

*If you have a build on _ any _ jerry lrf that fixes the whole shield problem please tell me*

Was there a mention of the Jericho line getting some love in the next patch…??.. I hope so I have recently joined in the fray for the domination of the stars and play mainly the Jeri Command and Jeri Guard Frigs because I like the look of them :)wt Some may say “really??” but yes I think they look cool

Appreciate the comment on ease of levelling, at the lower levels the Axe is a beast.  I’ll stick with them and hope for some buffs.

Jeri LRF useless?! hahaha

You should get that those ships are medium-range pew pew pew units which are perfect to finish enemy and/or protecting beacons

I synergized the Chiron this past Saturday both to give empire LRF a spin again given popular forum opinion and to take advantage of the -60% on the T5 prices.

Funny enough, I found it had both much less effective survivability and utility than in a Jericho LRF. They are too slow to brawl in them, they require line of sight so they cannot effectively defend any beacon and because they have to sit in the open they take much more damage. Sure, it’s fun to one-shot a bomb carrier at the other end of the map once in a while but that’s about it.

Maybe I’m just bad at empire LRF and good at Jericho LRF, but I never had a survivability problem in the Jerries, the only thing that might kill me would be an ECM when my pulsar was on cooldown. Why do you sit in the open where an empire sniper can two shot you? And why do you fly around without thermal resists to make that two-shotting even possible? Ramp up your resists, fit a multiphase, fit a shield booster, fit EB, stay mobile. Nothing easily kills you that way. Hull doesn’t matter, I always fit light weight hulls even, mobility is what keeps you alive. Any interceptor or tackler sneaking up on you usually dies to an EM torp to the face, anything else you should main gun down before it gets too close, and if all else fails you can always drop an instant guided torp on them to finish them off.

Also when flying other ships I find empire LRF trivially easy to deal with compared to Jericho LRF. When I want to capture a beacon vs an empire LRF I simply hide behind it and he can do nothing. Versus a Jericho LRF I have to move to avoid his torp and then stay out of the cloud - two or more of them defending a beacon and that becomes next to impossible unless you have an AMS guard nearby.

So for me Jerry LRF > Empire LRF, I don’t get the Jerry hate. I’d even go as far as to say that the difference is that if you die to an empire LRF you’re just bad, but if you die to a Jericho LRF they were good.

Ira Deus also has a sweet rotation and strafe bonus.

If that’s a NASA secret, I’m sure it was leaked a long time ago. When I first got my Templar AE I was already flying it gunship style.

Emp LRF require different playstyle… and good luck when you get in LRF main weapon range:

For me Emp LRF = Jeri LRF

Jeri one i good for solo play, Emp can be used in squad as support and can create free zone(lots of players run when get hit from 6 turret positron in 6-7km range)

Oh sure I’m playing gunship style, too - Empire’s 7% damage bonus aside it’s the same for both (gun positions/firing arcs and mobility give Jericho the edge in close range). Charged positron double shot just murders interceptors and fighters if you manage to hit them with all 6.

Wonder why you would go to the effort of hiding the chat window instead of just cropping to the stats window you wanted to show btw.

It’s not a problem of Jericho LRF > Empire LRF or Jericho LRF < Empire LRF.

What a lot of people don’t understand is the Gameplay Difference between these two types of Long Range.

You can be a genius of Jericho and be super bad with those of the Empire.

If we can quickly summarize it gives:

Target.

Positioning.

Effective range.

The hate is not on the ship, it’s on the “Amount” per battle we can see sometime which stay on the spawn point and just Snipe with the special Module.
