I wanna have the rank 15 implants but havent really decided which ship to get. I like Empire command and Empire Engineer but they don’t have rank 15 versions of those ships.

In T5 PvP pretty much every Empire ship is viable, and there is a trend by some squads to fly Empire Gunshisp tanked through the roof to simulate mini guards with benefits of Gunship dmg
For PvE I find Feds Guard and Engineer (T5s) are better than Empire (better in a sense of more enjoyable)
I agree with Kostyan, go Empire for PvP, Federation for PvE, and Jericho if you’re masochist or something like that, lol.

Well, yeah, but there are other roles, and most of the time they really don’t shine in PvP nor PvE

gunships are your worst nightmare in tier V, they destroy anything

I find the Fed guard to be relatively better. Anything other than a fast laser gunship will have a hard time countering it. But that’s about 1v1. In bigger matches any out of position guard dies fast with focus fire

When the Energy Regeneration problem is corrected on the Inquisitor S, it just become a Monster
My suggestions are the Federation T-Rex Mk.II, (guard)
the Jericho Inquisitor, and the Wakizashi AE (Jericho ECM)
I’m currently unsure about all of the other ships.
The mauler is pretty useful, but it’s a gs ship.

The T-Rex Mk.II is the bubble guns worst nightmare.
once you reach level 8 synergy you gain a good amount of anti EM for the shield.
Focus everything for the shield on the T-Rex Mk.II/Inquisitor.
For the Mk.II use 1 anti Kinetic Module, 2 anti EM Modules. For the inquisitor, 1 kinetic module, and 2 Anti Thermal Modules. (shield slots)
For both ships, use, in the capacitor slots, in all 3 area’s Shield Regeneration. For the hull slot, use passive armor. (it will perfect the energy)
If you have a healer in the squad that gives out energy, feel free to switch it out for anti EM hull.
Along with you passive defense, your guard module will add to any part you see fit.
The weakness of the inquisitor will be EM, and the weakness for the Mk.II is thermal.
if you use the guard module, these will be covered. With this, you will defend against all attacks by more than 50%
Now, be sure to use Both of the shield regeneration active modules. ( shield booster L, Emergency shield booster)
All in all, your base shield will be worth, at minimum, 90k, at highest, unlimited. in one battle, roughly 100k-130k if you factor in normal regeneration.
Be sure to use the Implants that lessen module time. for instance, the one where you kill an enemy, or assist with a kill and they kick ahead in the process by 15%.
These two guards are the best at regenerative tanking.
The only weakness, albeit a small one, is the spy drones, but you’ll hardly feel much of a kick from an interceptor.
At the same time, though, you are much better off than the guard who gets hit by spydrones but has a high shield pool it has to regenerate.
Especially when it’s already low on shield.
with the implants and the shield booster module, you’ll gain +40 to the base shield defense. make sure to equip all 3.
Are interceptors and tacklers good at T4/T5?
It’s best to pick the ship class you are used too. It’s not a good idea to start learning a class in T5 that you have never used before.
