Granted, Star Conflict isn’t a demanding game but I thought it’d be interesting to see what people are using to play it.
Here’s my specs for the computer I built 5 years ago with slight upgrades over the years:
- CPU - Intel Core i7-930 (overclocked to 3.5GHz)
- GPU - Gainward GTX 650 (slightly overclocked)
- RAM - 6GB Kingston HyperX T1 (~2000MHz, 9-10-9-27)
- SSD - 256GB Samsung 470 series
- HDD - 1.5TB WD Green & 4TB Seagate Barracuda
- Optical - Samsung Bluray Combo
- Sound - ASUS Xonar Essence STX + Audio Technica AD-700 headphones + Zalman clip-on mic
- CPU cooler - Corsair H100i w/ Noctua NF-F12 fans
- Case - Cooler Master HAF XM
- Keyboard - Logitech G110

- Monitor - Samsung Syncmaster 24" @ 1920x1200
- Commodore 64
- 2400 floppy drive
- 300 baud modem
- 13" Black and white TV.
most likely blows my system out of the water. Damn you Censored.
true story : i once saw a commodore 64 under a pile of books in a library. changed my life.
I’m too young to know what a Commodore 64 is…
Isn’t triple screen like totally useless? xD But nice setup anyway.
I use 2 screens myself, 1 for gaming other for ze internetz. gotta do something while respawning.

I think it’s a Naval rank for officers above a certain age…

once you use triple screens in star conflict, your situation awarness goes up by 100%. I can see ships to my sides before they even know I already notice them.
There is SUCH an advantage for having triple monitors. I might get a fourth one on top to do even more stuff.
Hmm, i guess i can understand that. Though 3 would really be my maximum haha, a 4th maybe for ze internetz than
I wouldn’t mind triple screen but I neither have the desk space nor the cash for such monitors and GPUs. Although I think I’ll eventually get a 2560x1600 display when 4K monitors start pushing down the price of them…
Also, this: http://semiaccurate.com/2013/06/13/sapphire-shows-18-screen-demo-in-computex/. Granted, it can’t be used for gaming… yet.
so the batcave is real? I thought I had a mini bat cave…

It’s getting on a bit now - I did upgrade the graphics card a year or so ago (before that it contained 2x GTX 460 in SLI) but the rest of the components are 2,5 years old.
My specs are 3 years going on 4 this august. Though my GPU’s are about 2 years and are hitting the max graphics they can push, especially at 6000 x 1080 resolution.
A game running max settings at 1920 x 1080 would be for me about 100 FPS, but once you go to 6000 X 1080, frames drop to 30-40. Aka, thats what SC runs for me.
Granted, this is a laptop:
Intel Ivy Bridge Core i-7 @3.1 base, 3.7 turbo
Samsung 16 GB @1866
GTX 680MX
SSD (OS and cacheing): Intel 520 series 120 GB
HDD: 500 GB Seagate Barracuda
Keyboard: Razer Orbweaver in-match, Logitech G510 everything else
Mouse: Logitech G700
Monitors: 17.1in Full HD (laptop), HP 25in Full HD (system stats, interwebs, music, TS, etc.)
Cooler: plywood board (perferated) with a 12 inch room fan blowing air into it.
*UPDATE*
Kine, pics are now attatched. Getting a real laptop cooler sometime next week.
