I think they are unique in the Ancient Technology aspect. This new faction is not really a faction. I am sad about it. It will be so good if we get a new faction based in Object NY18 technology.
It has the power of keeping a shield mod, that every fed and jerry ship needs, just for itself. This selfishness makes it unique.

that would be awesome, although yes, from a lore perspective they are, all three of them based on ancient tech.

Yep, developers said in one of the teasings that Object NY18 is based on another alien ancient technology.
But seriously idk why the Endeavor doesn’t deploy satellites or a little defense station or something.

It’s OP, thats whats unique. Of course nobody cares, cuz it’s a rank 10.
I’d say that its unique because of its ability to fight against multiple ships, many other classes specialise in dealing with one ship at a time, such as covert ops, recons, ECMs, tacklers and LRFs.
