Let me tell you about a little Russian fable by Lev Tosltoy that I read as a child.
A peasant has a hen who lays a golden egg every week. At first, the peasant is happy to get golden eggs every Sunday. Then, one day, he decides he’s not getting rich fast enough, so he kills the hen to get the big gold nugget inside. Unfortunately, once the hen is butchered, it turns out it’s just like all the other hens inside - just innards and no gold. The moral of the story is long term investments are always better than short term ones.
The same thing is true for Star Conflict. The devs had a golden egg laying hen, and instead of being patient and ending up rich, they stupidly butchered it and will end up with only a fraction of the money they could have made.
This is, unfortunately, a common trait of eastern people who fail to understand capitalism and how pleasing the consumer ultimately translates to a win-win situation.
I’m very sad to see a game that had wonderful fight mechanics and cool ship designs be turned into a Korean-like grindfest. I’m still playing, because I’m (stupidly) hoping something will be done about the big issues (the matchmaking, the reduced rep gains and so on) - but my patience is limited and will eventually wear out. I won’t spend another dime on the game, and most likely neither will any other player above the age of 25 who has his/her own income, because we understand the value of a euro/dollar.
It was fun while it lasted. I honestly hope you go bankrupt because that’s what you deserve - you are the cancer killing the gaming industry.
“but my patience is limited and will eventually wear out. I won’t spend another dime on the game”
Oh my god why did you do that ? it is a free game …

Perhaps the best post on this forum. As an Economics minor I must say you are absolutely correct. Thank you for making my day.
You are completely wrong. Higher price of buying ships means nothing because you are buying your ship for forever. Repair price was reduced significantly and you need to pay it constantly. Economics is better now - we got more T4 players already in no time because of cheaper repair bills. T4 fights of 12x12 are epic.
