what is "ram damage" mean ?

i have seed-chip say: “increases ram damage” but i don’t know what it mean

It refers to collision damage between different ships. So if you get a chip that increases ram damage by 500% then collision damage dealt to other ships from your ship will increase by 5x.

Still 5 seconds is hardly enough time to use the boost. Can already barely line up the ship.
