It used to be aoe and it was OP, but now it just says “reduce all damage taken by 39%”
So when I use it on someone and as long as the link is not broken I get reduced damage from :
Just affected target’s damage versus me?
All other sources of damage versus me?
Affected targets’ overall damage output(like single target module on Guard aura)
In order of likelihood IMO.
Please someone who tested it (or someone “from the kitchen”) give us straight answer.
I barely used the module since I used the multiphase shielding on my Jericho ECM for shield tanking, but now I am thinking about using this one. No idea how exactly does it work and the description is more than misleading.

but i believe its only main weapon (same as guard)
I also find the ECM description a little odd - weapon heating time increased by 50%. It doesn’t in any way clarify what this means and is inconsistent with the ammo that allegedly does the same thing.
The Weapon system Inhibitor works on a single target against YOUR ship, not his weapon damage against others. It’ll only affect damage from his weapons on your ship, he will continue dealing regular damage on other ships.

So basically useless skill as some shield resists on jericho one or armor resist on empire module gives you the same output and activate your r8 implant …
Not to mention the energy drain on this thing. even with NO afterburners you can not break even on energy and disable the target if you are using it.

It works exactly like the Guard’s aura, but only against a single target. That target will have the same debuff listed in the buff/debuff area as if it was affected by a guard’s aoe module, too.
Basically it debuffs a single target’s main weapon damage by the set amount.
I never understood why these are worded as a buff to the user/friendlies when they are in fact a debuff to the opponent - as such they can be dispelled.
Removed the lines where the bot did crit. The inhibitor was Mk.III, i.e. 39%. All shots were on 100% shield, always with the same amount of turrets hitting.
Yet it makes more sense, the module would be virtually useless if it debuffed the damage of a ship only to yourself. In the knowledge that it’s a direct debuff to their damage output, it’s a great way of dealing with blue bubbles.
