How does that work after the big update ? Before it used to be AoE like Command ship’s buffs, but now I need to lock on a target.

Does that work like the target painter (its channeling too) or some other way ?

Does it :

  1. Reduce all damage I take while channeling on this 1 guy ?

  2. Reduce the damage I take from him ?

  3. Reduce his damage and his damage only to all his targets (ex. Pulsar) ?

I think it reduces damage coming from that one target, now. It’s mostly useless, you can just swap it out for a Shield Booster or resist. Also, I suggest you take out those Energy Vamp missiles as they also hurt your own cap.

So, basically useless for the style I play.  Maybe not for 1v1 frigates, but I use my CovOps for that.

And I am not dumb. I know the energy missiles affect ALL targets, not just enemy. I use them at enemy deathballs or to disable engineer combined with my energy absorber.

Now to decide shield resist boost or shield strength. Although it is just 800 over 10 sec. Which is barely 12% of my total shield.

How are the flares after the update ?

Flares are good on interceptors for more than one reason but I use resist boost because of ECM’s F ability. Slower game due to longer downtime between runs; 30 seconds using flares vs 60 seconds on F-module. But in T3 where games are slower and less tacklers around, resist > flares

Almost all my ships have Flares. Only Frigates don’t have them because there’s no point in it. I’d much rather have them to fend off enemy missiles that are firing EVERYWHERE then to survive an extra 3 seconds because, if you’re being targeted by half a dozen ships… you WILL die.

I die for different reasons. Guess difference in play styles then.

You either die from Ships shooting at you, Missiles, Mines or Rocks. There’s nothing else that kills you in this game.

I’m not counting Self-destruct because… lol… it’s a pretty pathetic way of playing.

Side question : Since seems that everyone is stacking thermal resist on 2 out of 3 targets I do more Kinetic damage than Thermal TO SHIELDS ! Is it even worth to equip antimatter ammo anymore of Just to get The crit one and The projectile speed maybe for those interceptor dogfights ?

Don’t forget the Singularity!

Or the side of the map!

Or the anomaly!

Or drones!

Or flaks!

…those are the easiest to remember lol

Gave my GF the control of 1 mission as I had some urgent thing to do - she went out of map and the game killed her. So that is an option too !

Ah darn I knew I forgot something. Apologies I didn’t get back to you with an answer to your question in-game, I got side-tracked by corporation matters (we had 3 squads going at the time) and the chat doesn’t provide a particular good way to keep track of private messages in-game

Glad to see you got an answer in the mean-time.
