I tried to get special module components from random Iridium loot boxes.
I tried to get via Trade. Either it was not enough required parts or everybody just wanted a higher amount of GS (most did not have all the necessary items to send at once).
You need two different items, twice! C’mon, + 5 structures, but those are easy to get (Thar’Ga had assignment missions - this one should have it as well).
You are required to purchase the module in order to reach the higher rank, like Rank 9, which is just out of reach, unless if I get/buy this special module.
So, what do you plan to fix, how and when?
Best way to fix this is either by completing missions or just not add those mandatory requirements in order to progress to the next Rank.

This is totally true! Even when nobody is forcing you to do this, sometimes you just don’t have a choice, especially because some class module weapons and equipment are locked behind the Rank tree. If you want something, there is no other alternative but to progress almost to the end, if not the end of the Ellydium tree.
If new Ellydium ships will have the same special module mechanics, don’t expect many of smart old players coming back to support such practices.
With time you will only lose your remaining support, even if the remedy comes, it will be too late.

Apparently, I had the same problem as you, these node resources are 300 Iridium, and the caches that have good blueprints really give me a major dilemma. Even if I quit caches, I don’t earn enough iridium even if I did the Defiler, Destroyer, and ALL my gamemodes for rare loot spots in one day. There should be a way to get special modules through resources, ACBs, xenocrystals, massive amounts of credits, and finally, with missions similar to the Thar’ Ga’s special module missions.
