Started last few days, wasd (and e) are all not working.
Does not work after closing all the existing windows and game.
Within Windows Task Manager, killed svchost.exe seems to resolve the issue.

Mhh it sounds like a virus (have you ever heard of key loggers)?
Try with a full antivirus scan, if it doesn’t help try downloading this tool from microsoft, manually find the service related to that given “svchost.exe”, stop it and then delete the file. Then make another run with the antivirus.

Don’t forget to back it up somewhere in case it’s actually important.
I have anti-virus. I use Comodo Firewall and antivirus.
Actually, it does not work by killing svchost.exe.
It only happens when I am playing Star-Conflict (twice when I am the captain as well), and now every crashed when it happens (every thing keeps flashing, and like doing ALT-TAB non-stop), then all my windows app are closed. I believe this maybe a memory leak or something. Now even I unplug the keyboard, those keys (wasd and e) no longer work. This never happens but since the last patch, I believe.
Try to delete file user_bindings.xml in the folder “Documents\My Games\StarConflict”
