Warp Jump

Today i micro-jumped in my dwarf 2 into parasitic remodulator range of a captain, killed him, and then got away. Has anyone else ever done something like this?

The game has almost 2 years, so I guess the answer is “yes”.

Too bad we don’t have any kind of replay feature to show the others when something amazing happens, but in any case, congratulations for your achievement

Seriously, i have no idea how i did it, within 1000m of target

Amazing things happen, but as I said earlier, we don’t have any way to save those moments unless we’re using fraps or something program like that all the time u.u

Recons do that a lot actually.  It’s almost only recons that successfully pull off an early rush.

Good work man :). Play a game long enough and you will do all kindsa crazy stuff.

Watch me get 3 thuds tomorrow lol

Next achievement challenge: Kamikaze into the enemy captain using micro-warp. The captain must be protected on all sides by static barriers.

First thing I did when got in T3 with a Recon is I went into custom battle and practised my warps, after you get use to speeds and de-acceleration from warp, you can easily land within 500 to your destination: Beacons, fleeing/sniping enemies etc.

I see a lot of people using warps to jump only far away, consider your inty speed and how far can it fly within 2-3 seconds at max speed - you can double it with micro warp for 3-4k

well this was a cross map, about 10000m jump

Best thing is when 2 recons colide and they are both in warp:)

The further you jump, the esier it is to calculate and land close to your destonation. I find hardest accurate jumps are within 4k-7k
