Do the math if you think its wrong, it is not. Resistance doesnt matter just warps into your spawn and boom you go.

9k dps + 80% = 16,2k dps minus the usual 50% thermal resist u get in t5 =8.1dps :confused:

The thermal resistance has nothing to do with how long a 16k survivability will last under a 16k DPS beam. 

 

16k DPS means a ship with 16k survivability dies in one second. 

No matter if the thermal damaged are reduced by 99% or 0%, 16k survivability is still a one second kill. 

 

 

And 16k is A LOT

You can literally kill one interceptor per second. 

One fighter per 2 seconds. 

Or even one guard per 5-6 seconds.

And I’m not taking into account critical damages.

Pure BS. 5km range is the max base, if you don’t use very specific close range weapons, it’s hardly 40% more compared to other weapons.

If we ignore the anti-dd weapons, most classes has ~80% or more the dps vs. dessy. So no 4x. Way not.

It’s not most class purpose either to go after dd. each class and weapon have their purpose, even a tip in loading screen saying it. If you can’t jump him let the lrf’s and your DD’s do what they should. If they dont, well too bad, it stink but it happens to every team. By the way, many players have no trouble doing good damage to any dd, if not kill it. Whatever the class. Doesn’t work, do a few pass. He’s got too much escort, frak it. Do something else and enjoy. That dude wont focus on you forever, he’s got 10 guys to shoot at.

command phaser i cant really agree here - i mean if you pull it off long enough, or pull off some splosions, you deserve it - the secondary effect of ska’ra might be valid. however those ships have to get close - there is no problem with close range beacon denial.

it’s just annoying with aura damage.

i do not own the vigilant, so i cannot say anything about the weapons from the vigilants perspective - i do admit, they seem quite gamebreaking, at least if cookie cutting is applied. So players I know from the past who love to play extreme broken builds, are sitting in it nonstop. However with the christmas weapons, the Gargoyle and the Dart, i feel like I have no idea wtf is happening; ships i love to play seem to work fine - games can become quite unbalanced tho, if certain combinations of ships appear only on one team.

I guess we have to wait the numbers.

I’d love tho, if devs would announce e.g. problem points they admit at the moment, would be nice to see if something is “under balancing consideration”, as a reaction to talk. Anything that would reduce the constant polarisation if someone has critique to get into this “everything is allright git gud” discussions, if patches are delayed.

Yeah, it seems like a lottery of balance whenever u start a pvp :confused:
