Ok I know this is not a forum of hardware “enthusiast” that update drivers everytime but this is a real urgent matter. If you installed latest amd drivers released last week called “crimson”: be aware that they mess up the fan automathic control. The driver set a fixed value for fan speed that can be 100% (if you are lucky) or a way worst fixed 21% which can lead to overheating very fast during game sessions, then: stuttering (cause when a gpu overheat, befor burn, it try to lower his frequencies in order to “survive”), then heat damage. And then you can put it in the trashcan.
All the gpu with the new driver are affected: from hd 6000 and up. Only REAL solution atm is to revert back to last catalist release (to do so use ddu to uninstall drivers, google it you lazy …).
That above is the best solution, 'cause setting back “auto” fan speed won’t last, it reset itself. Even using software that customize fan speed like msi aftherburner won’t solve anything 'cause this bug override custom setting.
So if you plan to ignore this, do yourself a favor at least: check the fan speed and temp during game sessions.
And now we wait for Gizmo and Dirk to blame SC developers for releasing such a game breaking bug. I mean with so much resources behind them,it is impossible to miss such an obvious thing, right?
I wasn’t even able to install the driver, got only some error messages but I think it would be better if I check that my fan control is still running properly.
Well, nVidia did the same some years ago. Even if this can’t be an excuse for such thing.

If you didn’t installed “crimson” you are fine.
Btw they finally acknowledge the issue and today an hotfix should be released.
