Update in Star Conflict PvP (Unofficial Discussion)

Actually, now that I think a little bit about the issue, usually the matchmaker matched an equal number of ships. For example, if one team has a total number of 35 ships, the other team has a similar number. So, actually there was no issue to fix. 

I noticed this too. But this wasn’t always the case. And don’t forget that destroyers have got into the mix as well.

Sounds like he is giving women names to his ships like the weapon maniac guy from the movie The Last Stand.

i can remember a lot of games where enemy teams had not just worse pugs, but also missing ships on multiple players while my team was fully loaded - in the last week. in prime time, where simultanious queueing even brought you to multiple full games. so i call a bluff.

 

i do however not complain too loudly, better to take it off until they find a solution, i just find it must be said, that they should optimize this process of how to adress things in the future for their own sake.

 

and, considering, that this has been suggested and mentioned endless times for since i am a member here, i am just wondering. maybe it wasnt the en community after all, that was so “bad” and communication is a two way lane.

I think you can’t fix people who use wrong things by fixing the game.

My goal is not complaining about these things. I rather make suggestions. Devs may get inspired by our brainstorming. And this case is also among those that I can’t understand why happening. And I keep thinking of these and try to understand until I get bored of it… or someone else gets.

Good point. There are useful lesson videos but they don’t seem to be used as much as they should be. Maybe direct links to certain videos from the game would help. Like next to game mode descriptions.

So they can’t breathe? That’s a drastic measure!

Tbh I love not having to deal with that mode any more. I genuinely despised it simply because I would get queued in to it for essentially every battle above T3. (Half the reason why I like T3 better than higher tiers.)

It is less the 1-ship people that I didn’t like about it.

It is true. This mode was overused in r10+ pvp.

Cinnamon don’t you think this* is a bit too vague and needs a little explanation as in how this was achieved ?

I think it can be dealt with a little differently than just removing it from PvP queue. Maybe make it 50% less chance of it being chosen, and let people with less than 4 ships respawn ships starting from left side until they reach 4 total ships. Eg player has 2 ships, when those 2 are dead he can respawn those 2 again. Player with 3 ships only gets to respawn ship #1 once all 3 ships are dead.

I like the mode itself, it is a nice legacy thing, but after the change of focus of the game (“Random PvP for casuals”) existence of the game mode never made sense, it is just too different from what random PvP is all about these days. Anyways we have been through this before.

I liked this mode very much, and the one mode that I didn’t have a match with a destroyer as a game changer. 2 bad they removed it…

Yes. I already wanted to start a discussion about this one too. But so little info was given that there is no point of doing so. And I don’t think the MMing system would be shared in details with us. It would be nice to know what was changed though. We would know what to look at and compare the new MM with the old one.

She is a Jaguar and she does her job very well all of her limitations is my skills and the ping! and btw after this fix of the interceptor weapon angle BUG!!! she has gained some advantage on inties BUT!!! THERE IS A STUPID BUG IN THE GAME!! THEY CAN SEE HER WHEN SHE CLOAKED!!! i still can do my thing with this but as Cinnamon said to the corps they banned “PLAY FAIR!!” so i wanna  play fair when they fix it …

You have some problems, but we still like you, don’t worry. 

Because it is easier to remove the mode, than implement some simple criteria for what teams may get into this mode.
