I agree to the author and want to explain with a bit more objective terms why I do.
PvE BEFORE:
6 loot attempts.
1 guaranteed green in PvE, rest would be gray with ~ 10% chance for another green or violet.
PvE NOW (without the few-day license that is currently active, of course):
6 loot attempts.
3 green or violet (remember, 5-6 green is ONLY due to license that will expire very soon), rest is gray.
10% chance to get a green == 1 green after at least 3 PvE mission on average. Extreme slap in the face to BEFORE.
30% chance -> 1 green per PvE mission on average, the same as BEFORE but you pay real money for it. Slap in the face again.
In case you fail looting you get more ingame currency from the gray trash BUT you also pay a lot more for repairs. Honstely, even without repairs (and you dont normally repair in PvE anyway) this does NOT AT THE SLIGHTEST offset the HUGE slap in the face I just mentioned. To have the exact same results as before you now have to pay extreme amounts of real money. And the chance to get the green is still comparatively low (1 in 3 chance).
In PvP this is even worse because the repair costs you definitely have there have been increased by A LOT.
Also the probability for greens is still low and yet you have to pay serious cash for a measly 1 in 3 chance to get anything worthwhile. I’m in EXTREME doubt that there are so many more greens now that the fail chance of 90/70% is offset.
I honestly hope the game will pay this insult dearly but to be honest and as seen in other games it is likely that most players can’t handle the easy maths necessary to see where this led us -> pay real cash for a worse experience than before.
Damn, and I really liked the gameplay so far.
The game has more speed, action and configurability of the ships than WoT, I really liked that. But now the devs have obviously fallen into the famous cash-trap… that’s simply damn stupid. Uninstalled
I’m not a hater, though, and with some changes as the clever guy above this post mentioned, the game might be interesting enough again to reinstall it:
Firstly, without cash you have to have the EXACT same results as before. Not WORSE ones!!! That’s the most important point. It’s an extreme insult to think noone will notice this crap.
Secondly, WITH cash you can expect (near) guaranteed return. So modify the chances to 80-100%, but don’t do the same to the credit price because the one currently used is BY FAR too high. You can maybe (!) modify it by 150% when the chance goes up from 30 to 90%. Not more. Players aren’t so stupid not to calculate what 200 credits cost them, so don’t try to make them pay 200 each time for a insulting 1 in 3 chance! (well ok, most players aren’t…)
Thirdly, seriously lower the credit prices for Tier 1-3 because in those tiers noone in the right frame of mind will spend cash anyway. That’s because 1-3 take a short time to go through so there’s no use to spend cash on a T2 module you won’t be able to use 2 days later because now you’re using T3 ships.
And so on.
Please, put this game back on track before too many players have done the only sensible thing… thanks.
