Bug report: (Unidentified Device module - can also be used on a Destroyer, the issue with Rank 9-3 Implant)
What’s the problem?
Unidentified Device that was originally meant to be used on Spike - ‘Spike Ram’ was left in the game instead of being completely removed.
It’s present in the Atlas catalog.
How should it be corrected?
Only a complete rework of this module that’s meant for Spike or its removal would fix the issue. Existing users with the weapon should no longer have it.
It should also be removed from the Atlas catalog.
Also, Rank 9-3 Jericho Implant (bottom one - Beta-accelerator ‘SR3 Mark 3’) doesn’t work on some ships.

Nah its good leave it. Or make it official and obtainable for real (with tweaks ofc).
And you of all people were having this much trouble using it on a stationary target… Imagine the everyday rando trying to use it. All I’ve seen it used for by randoms is a quick gtfo button.
Why remove it?
it’s very fun and crucial for dessies to dodge the attacks like torpedo, Guard death beams, black holes, dessie beams, etc
most importantly, it can’t be destroyed and doesn’t use energy!
Guards with collision immunity modules can also use it for ramming kills.
Imho it should be made into official with energy usage and tweaks.

We tested it - and no, guard will die more often than it’s target. You have to have a ship with 600m/s + speed and at least two collision compensators to make this work at all.
Basically as a ram it works only on Taikin with anti-collision module. Also Taikin already has very similar module called “Jump Drive”, so yes it is possible to make a double ram Taikin ”)
HOWEVER what Koro didn’t explain (but you can see that on the video) - the first ship is Patriarch - for some reason implant 9-3 is not working for it in case of ram - all damage went straight to the hull. I am suspecting that the shield doesn’t cover the whole model and pieces of hull are sticking out. The second guard in this video is Inquisitor-S - as you can see implant 9-3 is working, but more damage was done by “nudging” the ship than from actual module. After this test we checked how behaves guard and destroyer with collision compensato. That module makes this tactics useless (top damage made to Archon was around 4k, also Taikin was dying most of the time due to EM turret hitting it while shocked from the ram).
BTW: Second ship for which 9-3 didn’t work was Inqusitor-AE.
It is a fun module to play and I would actually leave it in game IF the issue with 9-3 was resolved.

Do you still have logs from that session? Mine were overwritten already…
it’s not even a question to leave this in the game or not , or if it’s “crucial” to dessy ( spoiler , it’s not )
it’s about removing or fixing a module that should not be available in the first place , it’s obvious it’s not suppose to be here .

Can this module be fixed and properly introduced into the game, instead of removing it please? It would be pretty balanced with some of the suggestions above and would be a great addition to the game, like the Hull Restoration System module. I don’t usually comment on forum but i really like this module ”)
in my opinion this device should stay in the game, maybe like a little easter egg or special module that not all the players can have  but hey this device is really fun.

It is and cannot be found any more. Though I found it in the farthest Jericho sector on the map so I’d farm there for a while just in case.
