Unable to see turrents, guns, drones, or missile launchers

Turrents, drones, guns, and missle launchers are not visible in PvP, PvE, basically anywhere…

  1.  Turrent’s drones, guns, and missle launchers are not visible in any map.  You can lock onto them and destroy them but you cannot see them.  This bug is also present on things like engineering drones or stations and the tackler Sentry Drone.  Oddly enough, I CAN see the Heavy Guard Drone, but I can’t see the Sentry Drone.  It also occurs with beacon drones.

  2.  I expected to be able to see these.

  3.  There are no specific conditions in which this happens.  The above behavior occurs on any map in any mode of game play.  Adjusting the graphics settings does not fix the problem.

  4.  Other details are…  You can lock onto these objects and shoot them so they are still there, they just aren’t visible.  I noticed similar threads reporting this problem.  Most of the users were using Linux and the Nvidia proprietary drivers 340 or greater.

  5.  Occurs all the time in all maps.

  6.  Logs and screenshots are below

  7.  Since I started playing again back in December, 2014

  8.  Running Arch Linux; kernel 3.17.6-1-ARCH, xorg-server 1.16.3-1, Nvidia 750 Ti using driver version 343.36-2

We will fix it

Here’s video of my recording of this bug. Recording was done based on the stated hardware and software but similar hardware specifications ( Nvidia GPU + Post-340 series drivers) will produce the same results.

P.S : Sorry for the crappy quality, my laptop hates me :fed003: and the crappy video buffering is due to the video loading onto your computer. Once it finish loading, video playback will be smooth. Mind you that the video does sttutter at time due to the video recorder in background. Can’t be helped. :00444: When playing the video, right-click and select “show statistics” to know whether the video is buffering or is slow or checking the FPS on the top-left helps.

Like yarrow2’s post, all turret , drones (except heavy guard) and missile launchers are invisible. Not sure how the heavy guard drone somehow escaped this bug.

As of the latest update, [http://forum.star-conflict.com/index.php?/topic/25939-star-conflict-v1014/](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/25939-star-conflict-v1014/) , this bug can be considered as fixed. At the moment, I switched to the Nvidia 343 series drivers to test the waters. Seems like the turrets are back as usual on the post-340 drivers.

Currently testing using Nvidia 343.36 drivers
