myself,had the game with the launcher,then add it to my steam account,but i did keep the launcher.had the same issue you got with the steam message this morning.The issue is steam,not the game,loaded right up with the launcher…

Same here… Getting steam server interaction error. Can’t play right now
I was not able to log in last night, and I still cant login 6 hours later. So much for my premium license discount.
But steam still works for other games. So my guess is it is not steam.
To clarify:
if you know your email / password combination from the gaijin registration, you coul run the game from Steam\SteamApps\common\star conflict\ and log in manually, and that worked fine.
So it was definitely something with the steam authentication.
It works now for me however. So it seems over.
Also, steam itself was running fine.

I’m still getting this login error at 1:30pm EDT 05/03/2014. Steam community / web API is still up and down as of right now. I will try the manual log in method, thanks for posting the tip :). Everybody pray to GabeN for more server capacity in our time of need!

No offense, but I highly doubt its on the steam side. Maybe gajiin needs to pay steam for more slots, but there is no way it was steam.
When I gave up trying to connect to Star Conflict. I went on to play another online game which always has over 50k online at any given time.
So if it was steam it would certainly be over money, other wise its on the gajiin side. I really hope steam is not that evil.
I already see Apple, Gajiin, EA, Comcast, Verizon, and rock star holdings as evil, to name a few. I would really hate to see Steam go evil too.
You guys fighting over money is fine, as long as it don’t affect my games or netflix.

It’s a problem with the Steam Authentification Servers which are Overloaded.
If you launch the game with the Gaijin Launcher or with Steam (add -nosteam in the launching properties / Offline steam) and use your Gaijin Account, you have no problem to connect and play the game.

I always use my Gaijin Account to log in :lol:

Check this posts.It also deals with the error but doesnt describe how to fix it. Looks like it something on the server not the client.
