1 fuel point every 5 sec is way too much, at least 1 every 30 sec, otherwise you’d have full fuel in a couple min flat, “out of fuel, i might sit at the edge of the map and go make a batch of muffins while my fuel regens” = waaaaayyyyy too quick

Nobody would want to wait more than 5 minutes just to get the minimum fuel automatically, if you can grab it on your own!
Each fuel cell can instantly recharge on average by 25 points or 50 points. It’s year 4615! This shouldn’t even be an issue!
It would take 50 minutes to get to 100% with 1 point per 30 seconds! You wish to wait for 50 minutes in the same sector?!
They can do 1 point per 10 seconds, if they wish as well.
